that's how you were made, weren't you? you've only lived as that. are you allowed to grow into something more? are you allowed to grow up at all?

you were never meant to have a soul.

and yet, they all took your hand. and you all became one soul before the infinite cosmos.

that saved your life once.

could it save you again?

but your absence leaves a gaping hole where your heart used to be.

you were a joke that turned into something more. you were someone who was loved. even if you never knew how to reciprocate that until you were at death's door.

like they are so Fucked Up and I know why but I just wanna know MORE I wanna annotate their lives and put sticky notes over significant moments and write essays on their trauma I’m. fucking losing it

I love lark as much as the next person but to one traumatized older sibling to the other. The main source of trauma is usually from the most unstable adult.

Okay I was thinking about this and I'm actually convinced it was the opposite way around for betraying Nicky. Grant has perfect sniper aim and they used magic bullets, he would be the ideal choice when it came down to it. But he couldn't. He couldn't stand the idea of not only murdering his friend, a guy he's known since he was 12, but of enjoying the kill. He puts the gun down and Lark picks it up, missing either due to the rushed nature of the shot or the unfamiliar weapon or maybe he had his own hesitation too. Just a little bit.

A little obsessed with Lark putting down his gun and Grant realizing that the responsibility to shoot is gonna have to be his. Did something similar happen the day they betrayed Nick? Fuck if we'll ever find out, but I can certainly chew concrete thinking about it.
