[ Leo mumbled something quietly as Gingerbread mewed and pawed at her carrier, sensing Leo's unease. He lets her out, immediately met with a fuzzy head being bonked against his plastron. ]

[ He sees the flash of purple and green and nearly starts panicking all over again, all air knocked from his lungs before Gingerbread meows softly, her kneading of his thigh calming him down immensely and bringing him back into the real world. ]

"I.. I dunno. I'm just here. Whatever y' wanna do is fine."

[ Ah, Leo's usual "if you speak about what just happened or ask i will actively cry and withdraw please can we change the subject" tone. A classic. ]

Getting Leo and his wheelchair down was no issue, alongside Gingerbread, but every step towards the lair was one step closer to a reunion he didn't expect so soon.

It didn't take long, taking familiar routes towards his former home, and as he stood at the entrance he took a deep breath in and took a deep breath out. \\

"Awright. Leo, trust me when I say you and I are anxious, but - I know you're going to get a warm reception." \\ Raph nervously grinned, before swallowing and, finally, falling out. \\

"Angie, we're uh - we're here!"

\\ And there he stood, nearly shaking where he stood. \\

His cloaking brooch was on, and he swiftly remembered to turn it off. //

[ His voice made him wince- He sounded as small and nervous as he felt. ]

i'm good to keep goin on my hrt treatments :D gingerbread's been sniffing around my chest a lot lately and i think she can tell how long it's been since i've stopped haha

[ Leo snorted, a wide smile tugging at his lips as he sits upright again, Gingerbread prancing over and making herself comfortable on Leo's lap after having done a sniff of the apartment. ]

"I suppose it has. Eh, can't blame him though, I am the best influence ever."

[ He tries to keep a straight face while snickering. ]

[ He tries not to let out a violent, wailing sob, and instead settles for a watery chuckle. ]

"Wonder if we should get Angie in on this.. It'd be nice, for us to be together again."

"Yeah, uhm.. Mike.. came to me. Givin' me the lecture on not hurtin' Angie again and all that.."

[ He sighs a little, rubbing over the burn scar still causing his second eye to be closed. ]

"I dunno, Raph.. I.."

[ It takes him a moment to find the proper words. ]

"I feel like.. all of this is my fault."

[ Leo starts vibrating, and swiftly rolls himself over to the couch, parking his wheelchair by one of the ends and easily guiding himself onto the upholstery, wobbling a little as he stands on his leg and easily hops up onto the (unsurprisingly large yet uber comfy) couch. ]

"Man.. This place looks awesome! Need to get some of your help interior decorating."

[ Leo snorts as he scratches the spot between Bear's ears, a little goofy smile on his face. ]

"It's alright! Surprised the peepaw could even run that fast."

[ He says with an entirely lighthearted tone as Gingerbread hops off Leo's shoulders and walks over to Raph, rubbing herself against his legs and mewing happily, as if greeting him. ]

[ Almost directly in response comes a loud meow, and Leo's hushed laughter as he pushes himself through the hallway. ]

"Okay, okay, I'm hurrying up!!"

[ He smiles a bit as Gingerbread nuzzles his jaw, before spotting Raph and Bear from where they are and immediately meowing more frequently, as if telling Leo to hurry up. ]

[ Leo couldn't help but snicker. He could practically hear Hueso's fussing just from how Raph was talking to him. ]

"I think he'd find a way to sprout hair just so it'd turn gray."

[ The thought makes him snort, trying not to fall into laughter that would shake Gingerbread from her comfy perch on his shoulders. ]

[ He.. just ended up making himself laugh harder, though. ]

[ It's nothing like the laughs he would let out post-explosion, but.. more like the full-blown belly laughs he'd occasionally be struck with at 3 a.m. while doomscrolling that would end up with him being yelled at for waking everyone up. ]

[ Despite this progress, however, Gingerbread smacked him with one of her furry paws, chirping as if to reprimand him. ]

"Ay, okay! I get it.."

[ He sighs, rolling his eye. ]

"I swear. This cat is nagging me."

Sorry 'bout that - should be at the marketplace now, bossman called and talked my ear off.

Hopefully Hueso don't mind Bear came with, he usually comes with me just about everywhere except the shop

[ Leo snickered a little at the old man of a Maine Coon, gently petting over his fur. ]

"Soft, too. Just like Gingerbread."

[ He hums, faintly smiling at the thought of the ginger Maine Coon who- in his Co-worker Ivy's words- was "built like a brick shithouse".]

[ Leo goes to say something, before his now-pale iris just stares at a blur running towards him from a distance. ]

"Oh my fucking god."

[ Leo's face immediately fell as the ginger stray cat leaped at his wheelchair, meowing and trilling and chirping like a worried mother after her son returned home from war. ]

"Well, hello to you too, stinky. Why did you follow me here, huh?"

[ He snorts, gently reaching down to pick her up and let her perch on his shoulders, which instantly gets her purring. ]

[ She rolls around to get comfy, and ends up splayed out over his shoulders like some kinda fur collar. ]
