So I got a job!

I love it so much, it’s been a little less than a month and I love my coworkers, the job itself, the manegment...having a blast. I really hope I can balance it with my school because I’d love to keep this job for a while. My awesome coworkers have a highlight though, a dude who is just a tad bit extra nice to me! Not the nicest most outgoing of guys there, but nice nonetheless. He’s just little more reserved than some of the others, opting for subtle humorous or slightly self deprecating approaches to communicating. Everyone there is so nice it’s hard to indicate and describe the difference between them this way. I’ve seen him around but I really got to know him the other day when I was tasked with tendering cash before the food window in drive through. The supervisor was having some trouble with the machine and he stopped by several times to lend me a hand and just hang for a teensy but so he wouldn’t have to work. Later I was put on taking orders in the drive thru with a little Ipad face to face (cool right?). I was on one lane, another coworker was on the other. Me and her get along fine! We chatted of course in our downtime. She went on break and In my head I was like “It’s gonna be this guy...I know it” and it WAS!! I am FLOORED. Just seeing this guy again, what are the chances? There were so many people our supervisor could have sent out! He was only her break replacement for 30 minuets and during that time it was very slow so we had lots of down time between cars, and after every order he would turn and walk back towards me and we’d chat for 40 seconds until another car pulled up! It felt so nice to have someone visibly want to have a conversation with me, refreshing to say the least, but more significantly, it was THIS guy. Brother lemme tell you. What cute eyes! Here’s something interesting, he hit me with a song reference , “kiss me through the telephone” he sang (kiss?? Wow word association?? Is he trying to make me think about kissing by singing this song?? Let me get a psychoanalysist up in here rlquick!) anyway I wasn’t aware of that song (it hurt so bad to tell him that, what great fun it would have been to NOT tell him I was unfamiliar) and he was like “??? What year were you born??” “2002” “that’s why haha it’s a 90’s babies thing!” Hahahehhheheehh....!!? I do not know what to make of this exchange. Nothing (probably). He intentionallywanted to see how old I was (who plans convos like that tho?). Now that he DOES know how old I am does that mean he officially is like “too young!”? - on that note, he probably IS too old for it to work. He’s in college now but he’s been in for a bit, I’m a senior in high school. Just pragmatically it wouldnt be able to last even if it did happen, different life tragectories. Also when you’re young that relatively small age difference is a bigger deal. It’s just so nice to have a crush again I guess. Who knows. I just hope I don’t get annoying or already are annoying. Maybe I can just appreciate the fact that someone is being nice to me! And I do! Because it’s not really a crush, just a great appreciation for a new friend, which I’m honestly shocked to have received! Thank you new friend!
