Does exiling things send them to the Edge?
No

As an former part of Dominaria, could/does the plane of Zhalfir have kavu?
Zhalfir was phased out before they emerged. So likely not, Zhalfir has more than enough going for it by itself.

Hi Jay,
A question about space Kavu - I thought that Kavu were literally created by Yavimaya as a kind of immunoresponse system. In that context, Kavu existing elsewhere doesn't really make any sense.
Am I misremembering the lore, or is it a bit of an arm-wavy, ignore that one specific lore detail kind of situation?
The Kavu on Dominaria were created by Gaia, the worldsoul of Dominaria, as a subterranean creature brought to the surface to fight Phyrexia.
However, the Kav from the Edge are not Dominarian Kavu. We see examples of 'convergent evolution' for creatures types all over Magic. There's no reason they had to be unique to Dominaria, just because Dominarian Kavu were created to fight Phyrexia.

Hi Jay! I hope you’re well. Do you think that Elpseth retained her spark?
The Aftermath cards didn’t really do what they were supposed to do, in my humble opinion.
Elspeth has a planeswalker card in Tarkir: Dragonstorm.

Hello, Jay, could you tell me what's actually the difference between goblins and kobolds? I mean, goblins are small fellas with large ears and exaggregated features, and kobolds... are like that, but with some canine features slapped on top. Are goblins and kobolds related? Thanks.
There’s a reason kobolds haven’t really popped up again. It’s a legacy thing having to do with early Magic lore lifting a lot of its identity from D&D, which used to feature more kobolds as low level weak enemies.

Thank you for answering, I was referring to the whole "during moments of heightened emotions, some people have a chance to turn into a planeswalker" canon. Just to be sure, by the brothers war, you mean the 1998 novel?
It's tough to say because even before the concept of a spark itself, people became planeswalkers because of near-death experiences, although it was also often accompanied by a surge of power around them (like Urza using the Sylex).
So if we're looking at someone who isn't getting outside help or a surge of power, Freyalise in Ice Age #1 from 1995 nearly dies in a duel, and that's what does it.
The concept of a planeswalker spark first came about, I think, in the novel Planeswalker.

How does Ugin manage his goatee? Does he wax or shave all the other hairs, such as mustache and sideburns? Do conventional razors and shaving creams work on a spirit dragon?
I think he literally only grows that hair and he pretends like he has to manage it but it's just naturally that way

What were some of the inspirations/sources for the Gift Economy of Pinnacle? Episode 1 brought of "Potlatch Fraud" which suggest influence from indigenous people of the Pacific North West .
That’s a question for Seth Dickinson I think, but in general the favor based economy was the standard one before money was invented, is my understanding. At least as far as immediate communities went. You didn’t barter everything all the time, that was a thing with outsiders not with your own community, where it was more like hanging out with friends, you get me now I’ll get you next time.

If the Edge of Eternities is the orange peel, the Blind Eternities are the orange segments, while the planes are the seeds in the middle of these segments??
I prefer to use an allusion to a cell: the Edge would be the Cell Wall, the Planes would be the organelles and the Blind Eternities would be the Cytoplasm??? Is that more or less it?
The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell

Have the Clans of Tarkir changed their focus colour? It seems to be so, or have I misunderstood their Dragonstorm future?
I believe so, IIRC it was in Mark Rosewater’s design articles

Note
What was the first appearance of the current version of sparking in an official work?
It’s hard to say, as “sparking” events weren’t hugely different before, other than sometimes involving a lot of power rather than being inherent. I’d say Urza in The Brothers’ War, but I think the first example of “spark” appearing in text was in the novel Planeswalker? But I’m not certain off-hand.

Between the multiverse we've seen and the outer space, where is the New Phyrexia nowadays? Are they stuck within the Chaos Wall, or ejected into the Edge?
They’re still in the phased out space that once held Zhalfir.

Note
With the official story release of Edge of Eternities, do we have the title of the third arc in this series? The full 3-WOE-"Ziplining" saga is the "Metronome" Arc, WOE to OTJ is "Omenpath Arc" BLB to TDM is "Dragonstorm Arc"
What's the name of EOE to "Ziplining" (If you know it that is)
I actually don’t know. May not be revealed until we get to Lorwyn, since EOE has very little to do with it (outside of some tantalizing background lore)

Is the similarity of name between Seed Broods and the Speedbrood deliberate?
I doubt it, both were created by Miguel Lopez but there wasn’t meant to be an implication that the Speedbrood are Eumidian.

the silliy question in regards to the Edge being like the rind. The question is... is the MTG multiverse edible... like a watermelon or a lemon?
It depends. Are you an Eldrazi?

Note
In regards to The Edge, is the Chaos Wall the inside ring (the donut hole) and the Quiet Wall the outer edge, or is it the other way around? Also good work on the Planeswalker's Guide to you and your co writers.
It’s left deliberately vague, but my headcanon is that the Edge is like the rind of the multiverse. The multiverse is “in” and the quiet wall is “out”.

I'd like to pass along a thank-you to Seth Dickenson for not only doing something really unique with today's story, but including a button to skip passed the lore dumping bit. I don't read the planeswalkers guides, and don't really care to, and I audibly smiled when I saw the author giving me permission (and a shortcut) to just just start the story when the exposition got dense. Not to mention how neat choose-your-own-adventure stuff is.
I'm excited for chapter 2.
Taken as intended, no worries: I understand this is dense.
