**| Every time I think I have enough OCs, I start percolating the development of a new one. This is how I wound up with Jayden! Svetlana! Metatron especially.
I need to finish Revan’s bio (Overlord of the black market), and I have another one I’m slowly piecing together! I do not need a third! Someone tell me I don’t need a (fallen) exorcist OC. Please tell me that!

The Blue Light District Underground
Anyone who lives in the Blue Light District knows that the best method of getting around isn't to drive. Traffic is congested at best, and that's if one doesn't get held up by some would-be overlord or gang war trying to blow part of the city up. Walking on the streets can often present similar issues, and that's without taking into account the nature of weather.
No, anyone who's spent enough time in the BLD knows that the best way to get around is the underground. The first few rooms-- including the one that connects to the Tower, were intended as subway stations that never materialized (though Vox is unwilling to abandoned that cause altogether, it remains a work in progress). It was begun in the mid-1980s, after Takumi's death, and subsequent start to him employment under Vox. It's grown ever larger, and nowadays there are very few places in the Blue Light District that can't be walked between using the underground paths. Because of this gradual growth over time, the aesthetics of the different sections of it can often be radically disparate from one another.
They're composed both of longer, tubular sections mostly just used as transit--many of these have moving walkways to help speed it up (which is another reason some people prefer the paths to the streets), although huge swathes of it function more like a protracted mall, with shops and food scattered throughout.
Given it's expansiveness, many people do end up quite lost within it's labyrinthine halls, unless deeply experienced with it. Even for people who are, they're often more familiar with a specific route within it than the entire complex. For a lot of residents of the District, they're more familiar with it, but for people who reside elsewhere in the city, the underground often offers more trouble than it's worth! There's very little there that can't be found on street-level, and that comes with a much smaller chance of getting lost, or being unable to find an exit.
Many people take refuge here during the Exterminations. However, like most places in the Blue Light District, privacy is sacrificed for comfort and safety. There's no where that is safe from the prying eyes of Vox's cameras, though for many people who live here, the price is well worth the benefits provided.
(It's how Hellaina commutes back and forth from work on an average day!)
No one lives down here, however, as all the residental areas of the BLD are situated, almost entirely, in apartments on the street level. It's this somewhat... dizzying but economic usage of space that is part of what makes the BLD the (second) most dense region of the Pentagram, and also one of the more desirable ones.

#I suspect Vel knows like... four stores#and Val fucking haaaates navigating it#a lot of photos are either of the Toronto path or the underground city in Montreal#and inspiration originally from Vancouver's pacific centre#shoutout to canada for apparently having a plethora of underground malls!#*personnel file (hc)

👕 Vox... for Marcelie. See how he copes with dressing up Alastor's mama!

@novinare | send 👕 and my muse will design yours an outfit.
Apparently the vibe is warm toned browns and purples! It's not exactly a neutral palette, but it's not super harsh or full of dramatic contrasts either. It's a little vintage, but even then, what exactly the 'vintage' hails from is a little muddy! It's an outfit she can get things done in, be that more domestic things or ones out in the world. It's also sort of androgynous, in that yes, there's a waistcoat but it's over a more traditional blouse, and yes, there are trousers, but they're the wide-legged style that was popular in women's fashion when Vox was alive.

**| I have never been quite so grateful for a banner on a website as I am for the projected liberal government on on the website I'm periodically checking the Canadian election results on!
Fingers crossed it doesn't turn around as more polling record their totals. (Bonus points if the liberals win a majority government and we don't all get dragged to the polls early for the third time in a row).

@do-these-eyes-look-human | You remember how I said there were more of the outfits that I didn't finish??? Yeah, this one!
I imagine it's some sort of... very fancy royal function soon after their wedding/during their engagement, wherein they have to match! They're very fancy, colour coordinated even.

👗 + semi-casual party (I think I sent one in and never specified)

@protovoxxed | I had the pieces for both and wanted to use them! So one for Vox, and one for Vi.
This is toootally semi-casual party outfit, yes? Look! Vox doesn't even have a vest or tie. Casual. Totally, that's what that means. I suspect for Vox, gender swapped or not, it's mostly just semi-formal and slightly vintage all the way down!
