“Well, maybe there is. I wanted to ask if you needed a training partner. Most aren’t out here training at this time of the morning. And I always find I get more done working with someone else.”
a training partner? the last training partner he had died years ago. after that, nicolai had trained alone. but this proposal of having a new training partner? he’s not sure what to think of it. blinking a few times, he gives a soft sigh and looks at her.
“ ...a training partner would be nice. thank you. ”

zuki simply blinks for a moment, before setting down her prized stuffed animal and stepping back a bit. ❝ you better STEP BACK. ❞ she warns, before activating her innocence. the teddy bear then grows into a ten-foot-tall grizzly bear, before bellowing out a loud roar. ❝ …she, uh. she does that. an’ she only listens t’ me. ❞
nicolai steps back right before the innocence is invoked. his eyes trail up to focus on the grizzly’s face and he blinks a few times. “ impressive... ” he whispers, glancing over at zuki. “ oh, where are my manners? i’m nicolai. i don’t believe we’ve met, but i’m usually busy, so... ”
