A brief reminder...

...(well I intend to be brief, but my writing tends to blow out a bit) that the current twigling preorder is open till the last day of August. The masters have arrived at the factory and they have started the molding process. In about a month we should have *some* resin samples, but not a full set because some parts need revision before they can be molded. 

In order to not overload myself completely, I will close the order when it reaches 100 participants but there are still some slots left, and more preorders like this will be organised in the future.  There are some stragglers who have not submitted their order details yet, even though they have been paying for their doll for over 6 months. This is super important to do before August 31 if you want to a) take part in the draw to win your doll for (almost) free and b) if you want me to actually send your order to the factory along with the others, which I cannot do if I don’t know what you want.  Finally for the moment I will not be making a separate form for those who just want to order heads or parts at this time, if you want a head, shoes, hands, bust stand etc but not a full doll, please email me (link at bottom of post).

So we just got totally boned by IPAC who took nearly the ENTIRE PAYCHECK, to cover something we thought we were going to pay back in installments. We still obviously need to pay rent and student loans and utility bills. As a result, I’m here like a douche asking you all to please look at my Etsy, where I have taken $20 off the price of an Iphigenia until August 13th and just for people from Tumblr, will be throwing in a free wig and/or face-up with her, if you want that. Alternatively, I will sculpt something for you. I haven’t opened up commissions in nearly 2 years, but you all know what I can do, just send me an email at illuminateddoll@gmail.com. I don’t just do BJDs, I can also do figures and busts, and have been wanting to move towards OOAK BJDs and other types of sculpture anyway. If you don’t want any of my crap I would very very much appreciate a signal boost. It is the 31st of the month, and most of our bills are due within the next 1-4 days.

Tumblr moves too fast for me, and I am afraid of getting sucked into it (already happened with Facebook, Twitter and time itself). 

Very sorry that I have not been too active here (it’s been so long, I forgot how to post, and submitted my own post to myself for approval instead), or anywhere, safe to say I have been keeping my hands occupied finishing the masters, working with a business coach to rebrand and build a new website, and going to the Barcelona Dolls Party. I have reclaimed weekends for myself and away from work, computers and phones in general. And it’s hot here, and I am currently a bit sick, maybe a summer bug, maybe a throat infection; will get it checked out asap if it doesn’t clear up. Currently trying to build an order form in Google for all the orders I already have (to collect the details and organise them better), and juggling communications with clients, suppliers and logistics, plus interviews for market research, and occasionally I take a moment to devour a book to expand my mind a little bit, sometimes I even remember to eat. I rock at sleeping though, gold medal for that. Please share if you like this or know someone who would! I hope to post again when I have resin samples and later faceup samples. And before the end of the year there should be a new website with my own blog etc, but I will keep linking my posts out here etc so you don’t miss a beat, and the newsletter will also be rebooted.

So there should be another round of wip pics next week. And when I get these parts out of the way, I need to see about making some new hands. Well, I can try...
