Biggest tragedy of Breaking Bad was that these 2 divas couldn’t put aside their differences to maximize their joint slay 😔

But really, during my rewatch of the show I realized that I’d forgotten how much these two liked each other prior to Jesse’s stunt with the gangbangers. On several occasions Walt tells Gus how he admires how he does business, that he “respects the strategy” regarding how Gus pitted Hank and the twins against each other, and acknowledges that he owes Gus his life for covertly saving him from the cartel. Not to mention how they both compare themselves to each other: “I hide in plain sight, just like you.”

It all just makes Mike’s final rant about Walt’s “pride and ego” seem all the more preposterous to me. Like… no, that’s not the truth Ellen. Walt loved working for Gus, he loved the lab, and he loved how much he was getting paid. Jesse was the one who complained about their compensation and how they had to follow Gus’ schedule. Yes, Walt was the one who killed the gangbangers but that was solely to protect Jesse, not because he was trying to “be the man” as Mike would suggest 🙄

Not denying that season 5 Walt wasn’t prideful/arrogant, but to say that he blew up his relationship with Gus due to “ego” is simply not accurate.

This is due to the fact that Jesse himself is the one recording another man in his underwear and zooming in on his ass, implying he is the world's first biggest homo
