DR Strings Presents A Free Re-String Event & Free Bass Masterclass: Friday, May 18th at Kagan Gaines, Forest Park, Illinois starting at 4:30 p.m. Masterclass by: Vuyani Wakaba II Chicago bassist & DR Strings artist Vuyani Wakaba will present an introduction to jazz for bass players. This brief masterclass will be geared towards the bass players who are primarily self-taught. The presentation will not require participants to bring their instruments. Gros Ngolle Pokossi Internationally renowned bassist & DR Strings artist Gros Ngolle Pokossi will teach an abbreviated masterclass on the development of rhythm techniques. This masterclass will be geared for all musicians, not just bass players. Instruments will not be necessary for this interactive masterclass. Gros and his trio will put on a short performance. Gros is bringing Matt Berger (guitar) and Andres Lopes (drums) to perform about three songs and be available to help with demonstrations. (at Kagan & Gaines Music Co, Inc.)
