The aesthetic known more recently as Y2K continues to stick around, I see its origins in the paneling, silhouetting and colour blocking of André Courreges futurism work. 

Jitoris fall winter 2023/24 might channel some of those elements as it continues to look to the future but avoids the trend by maintaining a root in the past, pre dating Y2K aesthetics.

Embodying a Fausto Puglisi Americana fantasy where she's the daughter of Carolina Herrera and Axel rose.  Baroness to a Tiger king’esque empire across a neo dystopian America longing for the novelties of its wild west genesis.  Almost all of the looks embody a character fitting this narrative as the boyfriends, nemesis, lawyers, documenter and her Hoodlum employees.

‘Maria’ concept bike by Ishii Tatsuya (1999)

“Musician, artist, event producer, and designer. Ishii Tatsuya’s incredible concept bike was created for his production of the 1999 Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race. Named "Maria”, (after the robot temptress in Fritz Lang’s Metropolis we can only assume) the all chrome bike was complete with a fully costumed woman rider. The fate of the amazing Maria after her debut event remains unknown.“
