I used to get a lot of nosebleeds during summer as a kid and i can assure you that even though i looked upset everytime i had a nosebleed i actually felt true trascendental morbid and glorious sublime deep within me without being able to describe it. It feels like you're on your way to martyrdom but knowing well that you'll ascend. I had too much life escaping my body. God touched me and his warmth was a red river down my face. Anyway growing up catholic did nothing weird to me.

when I was a kid I wished I had nosebleeds. I had some friends who had them and I was like. that looks so fucking cool. you're just sitting there and suddenly you're covered in blood. it looks so dramatic. it looks so... and here my language failed me. at such a humble age I did not have the vocabulary to describe the sublime. I just sat in incomprehensible jealousy. I turned out totally normal by the way

profoundly grateful for dan and the symbol of persistence he occupies in my life. not in a 'stalk your favourite internet star until he falls in love with you' way (though congrats on that dan), but in a very genuine 'have the courage to exist' way.

i've been sixteen, and eighteen, and twenty-one etc, and not wanted to exist, but because of dan i recognise that it takes courage to continue, to keep trying at life. the low points are as much a part of the tapestry of myself as the high points.
