Well, he wasn’t wrong. So he was the brother of the girl he had been preying on for the past week or so? Interesting. He was on the right track, considering that he really didn’t care about the girl. But now the whole scenario was a hell of a lot more...enticing now.

Typically, vampires didn’t feel much pain. A fall or a small cut wouldn’t hurt them at all; the worst it would do would provide a mere inconvenience for them.

But being slammed against a wall as hard as Key was? It hurt like hell. Pain shot up his back as he let out a groan, hand venturing to the source of the burn that was traveling through him now. Muffled curses spilled from the vampire’s lips as he tried to ignore the sensation in his back when he attempted to stand back up straight. 

Luckily enough, vampires tended to heal faster than normal humans. So when the pain started to fade away, the anger replaced it. Luminescent eyes darted up to his attacker, and with a snarl, he bared his fangs. “You might not be so glad you just did that, for whatever reason you had.” he hissed out.

Kibum was certainly shocked when the woman didn’t even seem the least bit phased by either the body or his threat. In fact, she merely seemed quite interested and curious with the current situation. It made Key both nervous and...quite angry. He stood up slowly, walking over to the girl before grabbing onto her wrist sharply, the blood on his hand getting on her as well.

“Well, you’ve just made one, whether you think you have or not. I can’t just let you run off and tell all your friends what you’ve just seen. Why are you here, anyway?”

Taut fingers clench into a fist as he attempts to catch his breath. It had been a long time, so long since he had actually fed on live prey. The human before him wasn’t dead, but merely unconscious. But when footsteps approached him, he knew that whomever caught sight of this would not see it as such. So when the innocent bystander stepped into his line of sight, he whirled around, luminescent eyes narrowing. 

“You’ve made a mistake by coming here.” he hisses out, trying to intimidate the person before him. He didn’t really want to hurt them, just perhaps scare them away.

“Just some seafood stew. Want a taste?”

He couldn’t help but let out a soft yelp when the boy nipped at his cheek, the noise melting into a laugh as he playfully elbowed Jonghyun. “Fine then, you call me cute all you want.” he said with a slight grin. “As long as I can call you an adorable puppy, considering you act like one.” he teased.

His heart skipped a beat when the boy complimented him and ruffled his hair. He didn’t know why he was feeling like this and…he didn’t know whether he liked the feeling or not. But all he knew was that Jonghyun affected him quite a bit. “I guess I’m just not like other vampires. I don’t fit the ‘heartless and horrifying’ stereotype. Even though I wouldn’t consider myself cute…” he muttered, fixing his hair slightly as he spoke.

I’m probably gonna get to drafts now because I am literally can not sleep. I’m still awake at like 1 AM because...I can’t get over the concert, man. That and I’m jet-lagged as hell. My children have been through so much and I’m so proud of them, I swear. I’ve been listening to the album for a little bit now and I’m almost driven to tears.
