As she payed for her food, Pluto's hostile tone didn't fail to go noticed. She shouldn't be surprised, truly, the teams had separated and gone their ways for a long time now. It never actually served in her favour whenever she still clinged onto asking about her, kind of like ridiculing her own self, actually.

“A-ah! That's.. good to hear then, I suppose.”

Moving now past the food stalls, exploring further in the carnival, before her posture got to properly slouch -her darling friend subtly pointed her shift of behaviour out. “Yes! Quite perfect, actually! I just.. didn't want us stumbling on her and everything; would be a terrible way to ruin our night. Don't you think?”

Paying for both Duke and Pluto's food, she moves down a little further to another stall. Should she pick up something for Annabel as well? Come to think of it.. she hasn't seen her around much either. Regardless, they could always share a bucket of pop corn. Not particularly filling, but there was surely something else they could pick up later on.

“Hmm, do any of these look like good options to you? I'm having a harder time picking than I thought.” Should she even ask? Pluto wasn't the type of judge, right? “Oh uh.. by the way, you didn't happen to see Annabel lee around, did you?”

Taking notice upon that, a slight grin appears on her face “Somebody seems hungry.” She teased, yet her stomach kindly announced the very same statement “And that.. seems to be also me, say, what if we take a little detour?”

“I don't suppose that he'll be able to stay mad at us for long if we bring something back to him! Hell, he's a performer -shows take energy out of you.” She wasn't entirely wrong, even if it'd take them slightly longer to get there -everybody needs energy to function! Despite, Dukes doesn't look like the type of guy to say "no" to a treat anyway.

He is my own flesh and blood, the person who supported me and got me through my toughest battles ever since the day I was born. Whenever the unfortunate memories of my dreadful father creep in the corner of my headspace, my mind always finds a sound shelter at the reminiscence of Theo standing by my side. Whether he decides to transition to a woman or not, the bond remains -blood is thicker than any type of theoretical propaganda nonsense afterall. May my father dare to speak a word against him (or her, however she wishes to refer to herself) and I'll see to it personally that the statement which will come out of my mouth will be the ones that he never forgets.

Brings me back to the days when I could still do horseback riding -pre lesson stretches were absolutely necessary! Even after my unfortunate injury, the instinct remained.. so now, I groan along with her after it's done because my body turns out to be not as flexible as it once was.
