"Oh gods- are you... are you okay?" Annabeth asked as she took a step closer. Great, saying one of her only friends' names ended up causing physical and psychological damage to someone. This was great! This was FUN. ABSOLUTELY FINE
She was still confused to some extent. Definitely not as shocked and horrified as Percia seemed to be, but still quite a bit confused. She usually considered herself as a smart girl (she truly thought she was a child of Athena before being proven otherwise), but she couldn't think of any explanation for this.
Except one, of course. But that may be stretching it a bit. "We both agree something weird's going on here, right?
It had been two days. Two stupid days since Perseus went missing, and it had NOT been fun. Turns out, monsters like it when Demigods don't come in pairs! Crazy conclusion, am I right?
She sighed as she walked around the area, Riptide gripped carefully in her hand as she wandered the woods. Something just felt off about this place. She already felt like that when she'd fallen out of that hole with Perseus, but this was... a new type of different.
"...Hello?"
- @w1se-k3lp
"Is someone there?"
Percia's voice broke the silence, barely more than a whisper.
As she sat motionless in the branches above, half-shrouded in leaves and fading light. Keeping hidden from the unknown person below, her fingers tightening around Riptide’s hilt. The blade hummed faintly in her hand, sensing her unease. The air felt off—thick, charged, like the moment before a storm—and Percia couldn’t shake the chill crawling up her spine.
Nothing had felt right since Andrew vanished. That had been three days ago, and the forest hadn’t stopped watching her since.

"Oh." Her head jerked up to stare back at Percia. "His name's Perseus... Perseus Jackson." Should she had said that? Probably not. That just made it a lot more confusing when said out loud. The similarities between Perseus and Persia were extremely hard to miss if she were completely honest.
Annabeth looked back at her own Pen again. She wasn't in danger, she was just uneasy. She sighed as she slid the pen back into her left pocket, just easily enough so she could grab it once more if she sensed any danger from the girl she was talking to.

Suddenly, it became a lot harder to calm down the cracks in the earth. Gods, why did Annabeth have to inherit her father's earthshaker powers? She'd take water over this any day. Jackson. That's Perseus' last name. She felt her ears ring, as if her brain was malfunctioning.
"I'll... remember that." Annabeth nods as she took her hand away. Something weird was going on here, something that made her have the insane urge to uncap riptide in this moment. She couldn't, there was no reason to do so. But this was getting dangerously unsettling to her.

"Hmm."
Multiple people going missing. This wasn't normal. What was the cause of all of these dissapearences? Were there more? Okay, Annabeth. Focus on something else for now.
Annabeth was pretty uneasy, but she needed to put thet aside. She wasn't good at fighting under pressure, and she couldn't let stupid hunches like that get in the way. She tapped her foot on the ground to remove the slight crack forming beneath her feet.
She extended her less dominant hand, the one without riptide. "Annabeth, my name is Annabeth Chase." Should she really be telling a stranger her name? Whatever, too late now. "Yours?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." She nodded, flashing a nervous smile. Monster or not, Annabeth couldn't just let herself be caught off guard. That's usually how she got herself into life-threatening situations- and that seemed to happen quite a lot.
"Seems you're not the only one with a missing friend, my one went missing two days ago." Annabeth sighed, her eyes gleaming at the pen the girl was holding. She looked back at her own, they were practically identical.

Annabeth flinched at the name, banging her foot repeatedly on the floor to make the anxious cracks that had formed on the floor dissapear. She sighed. Sure, it could be a monster. But it could also be a Demigod! She looked up towards the direction of the voice. It was faint, but she could still see someone else...
Weird the girl sort of looked like... she shook the thought aside. People looked like eachother all the time, could just be a coincidence (or a monster who mixed up her thoughts or something.)
"Hey! Uh- nice to see i'm not the only one here." She stared back at the floor. "Monster attacks have been happening more often, unfortunately."

Wait
If Annabeth had a crush on Luke in the original timeline
And Nico replaces Luke
...does that mean Percy-
"Call me that and you're dead."
"He's like that one song by NSYNC."
"I'm leaving."

Alright, Perseus was into full exposition/hyperfixation mode. This could all imply that he was the first kid in his cabin to have concrete PROOF of this theory. He started pacing.
"Alright, I'm sure you've heard of this theory before; how there's an infinite number of universes each different from our own. It's a HUGE talk in my cabin, though I personally couldn't care less."
He forced himself to look at Nico. "Me and Annabeth were walking outside of camp a few days ago and fell into this weird purple hole thing. Next thing we knew, we were back at camp... well, I think Annie's here. I was too busy trying to figure out what was going on to care."
"The point is- this could explain all the holes in our stories. I know it sounds crazy, but it does make sense on a fundamental level!" Someone please shut this man up
Perseus had NOT been having a good day.
He woke with his head inside the lake in camp half-blood, he had to pry his half awake body away from the water just to breathe. Not only that, his siblings in the Athena cabin barely seemed to recognize him. He was the head of the cabin, was this some sort of prank?
And to top it all off, he was about to confront Chiron about it all when he spotted
"...Nico."
- @w1se-k3lp
*He was talking with Chiron when he heard a voice and turned. Nico was also a head of cabin, albeit it was just him around camp normally so he spent significantly more time in the Infirmary with Will then anything else or up at the Big House with Mr. D. On this occasion he was just coming back from the House but had stopped to ask Chiron a few questions about upcoming camp activities* *A small look of confusion crossed his face when he noticed it was actually Percy* "Hey man can I help you?"

(Smart move chat)
Annabeth knew Bianca was a nice person. She could feel it, this girl just seemed to have the aura of someone who was fully in control of her own situation. She could see why Perseus felt so comfortable around her.
But she thought Nico was a nice person too. She knew Bianca couldn't be on Kronos' side, but a part of her still felt the need to keep weary of her.
"Glad I finally get to meet the girl Perseus and Grover told me about, been wondering what you were like."
Perseus let go a sigh of relief. Good, Annabeth didn't choose to immediately start an earthquake when Bianca said something like "hey". This was good!

Bianca di Angelo had absolutely no idea what she was doing. One moment, she was nothing—just a lingering memory, a sacrifice turned into legend, a pine tree standing guard at the borders of Camp Half-Blood. The next, she was standing in the dirt, flesh and blood once more, breathless, dazed, and utterly lost.
The air felt too sharp, too real. Wind ruffled her dark hair, the scent of pine and campfire smoke filling her lungs as if she had never left. Her wide, unblinking gaze was locked on the massive tree that had once been her prison—her tomb. It stood there, silent and unwavering, no longer imbued with the essence of her sacrifice. And yet, she was here.
Alive. She exhaled sharply, staggering back a step. Her hands trembled as she touched her own arms, her face, as if expecting them to dissolve into mist. "I… I shouldn't be alive right now," she whispered, her voice hoarse with disbelief. She swallowed, willing her mind to make sense of the impossible.
Flashes of memory surged through her like lightning striking the ground. The forest. The night air thick with the scent of damp leaves and monster breath. The pounding of feet, the panicked cries of Percy, Nico, and Grover (??) as they ran. The roar of the cyclopes behind them, their hulking figures closing in, cutting off every escape. The gate—so close, yet too far.
She had known what she had to do. She had made peace with it, in that split second. She had turned, weapon drawn, and thrown herself into the fight, holding the line so they could live. She should have died. No, she did die.
Her breath hitched.
"How… how is this possible?" she muttered to herself, hands clenching into fists. The reality of her own existence felt like an illusion, a cruel trick played by the gods.
A rustling sound made her jolt, her instincts flaring to life. Only then did she realize she wasn’t alone. A few yards away, figures stood frozen, their faces painted with the same confusion that twisted in her gut.
Eyes wide, her body tensed, fight-or-flight warring within her.
Had they seen?
Had they watched her come back?
Did they even recognize her?
The silence stretched, thick with uncertainty. Bianca's heart pounded.
She took a step forward, voice still raw with disbelief.
"Tell me I'm not crazy," she said, her words barely above a whisper. "Tell me this is real."

Perseus fought a glare at Annabeth, what was her deal?
"Yeah, I'm glad I'm making friends too." He sighed, facing Bianca again as his gazed softened. He had so many questions he'd have to ask later. Was this because of the Fleece? Did she experience any time in the Underworld? Was there any damage from what happened to her?
He nudged annabeth in the shoulder as he kept his smile. He tried to make it look playful... but he and Annabeth both knew there was something else behind it.
Reluctantly, Annabeth let go of riptide and walked towards Bianca, extending her hand and smiling nervously.
"Annabeth Chase, Daughter of Poseidon. Guess that makes us cousins." She knew that wasn't how God genes worked, but the thought was what counted.
