Not long ago I decided to redraw the first drawing I ever made on my iPad when I got it a whole year ago (and also kinda one I never really finished too).

It’s a screen redraw of that one moment in the theme song :3

Looking back I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress throughout the last year. tbh I think it’s really helped me figure out who I want to be in the future

and now methinks I’m incredibly grateful for all the nice comments, likes and compliments. Cuz it’s really gave me the persistence in doing art :] thanks guys!

THIS IS NOT ONLY MY FAVOURITE, I GENUINELY THINK IT'S THE BEST EPISODE AS A WHOLE <33 The best Hilda and Johanna scenes in the whole show, which are also one the best scenes in the show in general, are in this episode: the scene where they're in the balcony, the ending where they're on the top of the wall watching the parade, every scene where they're exploring Trolberg together—this episode was what made me become a fan of the series and realized this was absolutely nothing I had ever seen before, primarily about how loving and understanding Hilda and Johanna's relationship is as a family and I still tear up to this day revisiting Bird Parade <33

My favoruite characters in the whole show are Hilda, Kaisa and Frida (Johanna is her whole special category of favorite/comfort character for me it's hard to explain <33), so the fact the 3 of them take the spotlight together for this one makes this bound to be an absolute favorite <33 This also happens to be the episode I rewatch the most! :3 Seeing the witches in the fullest display we've seen them in is always so cool, and of course how can I not love Kaisa in all her witchy and girlfailure librarian greatness <33

Genuinely what else can I say here that the fandom/animation fans haven't already agreed on—it's the show's most beautiful episode and its emotional high point in all fronts from the writing to animation to music <33 But more importantly, babey Hilda and babey Twig are in this episode and Im love them both to pieces they're so smol and adorable <33

Similar reasons for Bird Parade and it's one of the best narratives of Hilda and Johanna's mother-daughter relationship—sometimes I think about what my girlfriend said about how Johanna desires to be as care-free and outgoing as her daughter but was forced to conform to the mundane of Trolberg until suddenly when the time warrants it like helping protect Jellybean she's truly at her element; and not only do I think that's a wonderful character study for Johanna but it's exemplified nicely in this 2-parter :> I love Tontu to bits and just the Nisse in general. Kelly and the other Marra are fun to see, and the ending was simply perfect for the vibes of Season 1.

Idk man Fairy Mound is just a pretty episode for me and with the scarcity of stories Season 3 had it's an episode I ended finding the most comfyness in, I genuinely LOVE the fireflies scene and is one of the show's most somftest shots. As for Troll Circle, very similar reason except 10x as so; this episode has one of the most adorablest and prettiest storyboarding style in the whole show. The difference is subtle but there's just something about how Hilda and even Johanna in her brief screentime look in this episode where they're just super super pretty and Hilda herself is just full of joy to watch in this one (even in angey mode against Ahlberg it still stands) <33 OH Gerda is literally so cool in this episode too she's amazing <33

i remember waaay back, when you first posted about your fic 'here comes a feeling you thought you'd forgotten' i ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE with the cover art you made for it!! TToTT

i really hope that this isn't weird - but i've been meaning to take a crack at redrawing the cover you made (for- oh my lord 2-3 years???) and with a couple more Hilda-themed projects under my belt i SPED through the piece!

i still can't express how ABSOLUTELY LOVELY your art is - the expressions, the characterization, the lines and colors?? your style is immediately recognizable, and its just such a joy to see on my dash <33

Thought I’d make a little post about my Hilda oc’s (some of you might already know of them) :3

They’re called ottercat’s (it’s a whole species) they’re a hybrid of humans and otters - do not let the name fool you tho, for they do not have much biological connection to cats (they only remind of them through looks and behaviour)

Here’s an info sheet I’ve made on them (6+ hours of research on otters payed of)

My three Hilda oc are a family of these silly creatures

My main one is called Piper
