ough, it’s been a while

been drawing a lot, but not a whole bunch of warriors stuff so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

anyways, here’s a sorta experimental piece I did with one of my OCs, Dawn. I’ve never really tried to paint fur before, and never on a full blown piece, so it was interesting to try and figure out how to manage it, *especially* shorter length fur on the tail and face. There’s some things I’d like to change up next time I paint fur, but overall I’d say it’s a pretty alright first attempt!

Background was heavily based on a pretty picture I took last summer (below the cut). Colors came out less saturated, even though I picked em straight from the picture, so it looks like I’ve got some color theory work to do!

i think i put her in thunderclan but she's got a shorter name bc it's better than her old one lol

mapleshade! tried out some new lighting stuff in this. kinda wish that i had blended the highlights a bit more, but otherwise i'm pretty happy with how this turned out ^^

aaaanyways, have a Nightheart that I doodled with some crayon brushes on Krita

he's like, the least qualified cat in his entire fucking bloodline to have issues with Firestar's legacy or whatever, but he's well-written enough that I can almost excuse that lol
