I....I don’t know what to say to you! I don’t know where to start!”

The knight could sense someone close by and their scent was becoming stronger. Afterall; few is able to completely hide themselves from the werewolf. “Hm? Who are you?” he asked on guard. It was a habit he had. Sometimes it was hard to lower his guard.

曲がる  —— 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊. Avenger speaks in past tense. she doesn’t know why. the matter is now and the matter is pressing; she then realises that it’s because her opinions were OVERLOOKED. Archer bites her lower lip; she is being used as an example. an example of what could go right had they listened to her. but is that the time to do it? no. Avenger asked her, ‘what would you have done?’ and Archer steps up gingerly, replaying the question over and over in her mind.

the dark saint stands tall, banner hoisted. Archer knows her temperament; in battle, she is impatient. the same can be said for answers. if one has the power, then one should use it. know when to fold when you cannot. but Archer can, and Avenger knows it; is that what she is trying to say? 

“fight,” Archer answers confidently, standing beside the Avenger. hand outstretched towards the enemy. “outright offensive. not a breath to the enemy. if....if we can, that is. if you allow for it, Avenger....please, let us fight a full offensive.....!” meekness returns, but enthusiasm is not dimmed!

       “EH, FUJINO,  wait, wait….!”  It’s the whirl of excitement that she feels from the otherwise withdrawn girl, clearly evident when the younger one took her by the hand and ran through the crowd in Debenhams. London never ceases to impress by the day, and long strands of ponytailed-purple fly in the air, along with Fujino turning her head back to smile happily over at her. “Wait, I have heels on, wait….!”

曲がる  ——  𝐒𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍!  but was she that fast? did she surpass in speed? the sights, though blurred,  EXCITED her. this is the world that her sponsor was raised in. consumerism at its best. she feels the thrill of being here; she loves it here, for as long as she can just speak to Touko-san and nobody else. “oh...! am I going too fast....? I’ll slow down, I’m sorr—” then the sights of a dress from a store grinds her to a halt, and....!

SHIKI-SAN:

Never thought she’d be in a room with Fujino without a knife in hand (Well, at least not a cooking knife), but hey. That was just how her life seemed to roll these days, and she’s long accepted that fact. 

…Seriously though, where is Mikiya? This was his idea in the first place, he better not be ditching.

“No, but your face said everything.”

Not that she minded it all that much. It wasn’t as if Fujino’s ever seen her cook before, much less anything outside simply walking about or indulging in that feeling of dancing between life and death. Strange as it was to say, considering how they both were–This small gathering actually didn’t suck nearly as much as she thought it would.

Though with that second little squeak from her guest, Shiki can’t help her grin that could rival the Cheshire Cat’s in just how smug it looked, before a snort of a poorly hidden laugh leaves the woman.

“–Heh. Sure. Whatever you say, Fujino.”

曲がる  ——  𝐔𝐍𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐑. 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐒. this was supposed to be a dinner for three. Kokutou-senpai, college plans. Shiki-san, plans unknown. for herself, she is in her final year, ambling by. courage comes, but not easily. it’s not the first she’s seen Death laugh, but she is unfairly beautiful when she does. the cordless telephone rings, and she looks at it. a finger prods at it before pushing it towards Shiki-san. they both anticipate what’s coming next.

when her name leaves Shiki-san’s lips, she feels it. the mention of her name invokes her soul. there is something about Shiki-san that muddles her, and she hates her, but wants to know her. she holds no grudges against her, and Fujino is jealous. she has never felt before, a thing like this. this forgiveness is genuine, forgive and forget. 

she wonders if Shiki-san hates her too.

“the phone,” Fujino speaks. “it’s probably Kokutou-senpai,” she assumes, “so please take the call.” though, a strange competition wells up in her. before Kokutou-senpai arrives, if he does, she’ll leave less for him on the table. first come, first serve. finders keepers.
