Genuinely wish people would talk about the existence of negative and distressing hyperfixations more often

Almost all the talk I see about hyperfixatons online or in media is just "oh I love this thing and can't stop focusing on it because I'm so invested in it"

And while those are a common kind of hyperfixation, they aren't the only ones. Sometimes people hyperfixate on things they don't actually like. Sometimes people hyperfixate on things they actively hate. Sometimes you can even hyperfixate on something that is actively triggering or otherwise upsetting to you.

Ashfur

-has a curly tuft of hair between his ears

-i used to think his voice sounded like wilbur soot (although now the allegations have made me rethink this because controversy so i now think his voice sounds like jack stauber in opal)

-while in starclan, ashfur has a ghostly white outline but once he spends more time in the dark forest, he gets more of a red outline that slowly overtakes the white outline and stars in his paws

-definitely has a huge, nasty scar on his neck where he was killed, which followed him into starclan

-has a smaller stature; very lean and thin like a windclan cat

-crooked tail from the battle in book 6 of The Prophecies Begins

-younger twin (twins with ferncloud)

-probably had a crush on swiftpaw

-asexual/bisexual

-AND BEFORE U SAY ANYTHING HEAR ME OUT:

-He most likely never loved squirrelflight, only believing that he HAD to be with her because it was the only socially excepted thing to do. he felt he HAD to be obsessive, because that was what he had seen before

-if he had been closer to firestar, he would've seen him as a sort of father figure considering he grew up alongside cloudtail

-very fucking smart. he's super fucking smart. it's scary how smart he is
