Yesterdays food Gains 🍚🥦🍓🍞🤗

Yesterday I hit chest, tris, and abs – no cardio and burned a total of 478calories🏋🏻‍♀️During the week I always workout in a fasted state because I tend to get very bloated so instead first thing in the morning I drink a cup of warm water with lemon juice and occasionally I’ll add a bit of Himalayan salt if I feel like I didn’t drink enough water the day before to help keep a proper electrolyte balance during my workout. Here is my full day of eating🤗
___ 🍎Breakfast: protein oat bowl topped with roasted apples and bananas and a cup of strawberries.
🍎Lunch: grilled chicken breast, brown rice, and steamed veggies.
🍎Snack1: Protein Shake with a PB sandwich.
🍎Dinner: grilled chicken breast, brown rice, and steamed broccoli. Pretty much the same thing as lunch because I didn’t have much time to cook.
🍎Snack2: almonds & string cheese, to keep up with my fats.
🍎Late-night meal: Cottage cheese pudding (blend: 5oz CC + ½ scoop of chocolate whey) with chocolate chips, berries, and walnuts. My treat for the day😉

✅Step 1: Veggies (like leafy greens, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, zucchini, tomato, spinach, asparagus etc.)

✅Step 3: Legumes aka protein (like chickpeas, tofu, tempeh, frozen peas, kidney beans, lentils etc.)
✅Step 4: Fat (like avocado, coconut, hummus, tahini, nut butter like peanut butter, nuts & seeds etc.)

Been getting a lot of dms lately asking me about cravings ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The most important question to ask yourself when having uncontrollable cravings is WHY🙆‍♀️What I personally find is that my cravings reach their peak, when my meals and snacks that I am having aren’t SATISFYING😟 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let’s be real the option on the on the left is extremely restrictive, boring and will keep anyone full for a total of 2 seconds🙄Eating meals like this is not only unsatisfying, but also unenjoyable & tasteless! 😖 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After eating such a restrictive meal, I find myself starving and often crave calorie dense foods like chocolate or pizza! Then when I give into this craving, I end up overindulging because of genuine hunger🤷‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I find adding HEALTHY FATS 🥑 , COMPLEX CARBS 🍚 and PROTEIN 🍗 to my meal leaves me feeling satisfied for so much longer. This way If I want a treat I am able to enjoy my treats in moderation and feel satisfied with a small amount. This is because I am able to enjoy my treat, as opposed to bingeing because of feeling hungry! 🥗
