I am Sherif Al-Amoudi. I am currently in the hospital. I am suffering from back pain and pressure on nerve roots due to a displaced vertebrae in the lower back. My health has deteriorated, and I can no longer walk. I was unable to undergo surgery because it was too expensive. We have no income, and we are stuck in Egypt because of the war, living in extremely difficult conditions.I have two twin children, Hossam and Ahmed, who suffer from two holes in their heart that require surgery, treatment, and continuous follow-up. We also live in a rented house and face significant expenses. You are our only hope. After following up with the doctor at the hospital, it turned out that I need surgery and ongoing treatments, which are very expensive and we have no income. I hope you can help me and donate. I woke up to my little brother crying not from fear, but from the pain of hunger. No bread. No rice. Not even crumbs. I searched the house and only found half an onion. I washed it and split it between my siblings. I just watched them eat… like it was a feast.

My mom is sick and there's no medicine. Every day without food makes her worse. A neighbor just buried his daughter she died from starvation. They wrapped her in an old blanket.

This isn’t history. This is now. This is Gaza.

We are dying slowly from bombs, from hunger, from silence.

Long version of our problems.

Our last post.

I've been 6 days with my medication, I do not want to go back to the hospital so soon.

I will lose my healthcare if I do not pay $105 before the 21st ends.

We owe money to the cornerstore owner and he won't let us buy anything else until we pay $86.

We have a $280 payment to make on the 23rd.

We do not have enough food, just 1 and a half kg of rice, we need veggies and protein for our diabetics and kids.

Anything extra will help us afford cleaning clothes, paying bills or affording living at this point.

I'm tired of crying all the time, I wish I didn't feel this hopeless.

I went to the market and suddenly about 200 meters away there was a strong blow in the middle of the people

usually i make my friends handmade things, or i collect little things over the year that made me think of my friend, and then put them together in a gift basket for them.

but yesterday was my friend mohammed's birthday, and i can't give him anything except my support over the great distance between us. you may know mohammed ayesh from his work with the @ihyaasociety which aims to provide gazan students with a safe space to continue their education - and before that, you may know him from all the work he's put in to verify the campaigns we see on our dashboards. a lot of hard work has gone into it all.

mohammed has not rested even a little bit. even in these horrific conditions he has been finding ways to give back to his people and to his community. that's why i ask that for his birthday, we all give back to him. whatever we can give. no donation is too small. i know it's not possible for some of us to donate, which is why i am also asking that you share the post and spread it outward so that it may reach more people who can help.

It is my friend, Moh'd Ayesh's, birthday today, and he is spending yet another birthday without enough food to eat, and with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

I wish I could wish him a happy birthday without it sounding hollow, because right now, there is no way for him to have a happy birthday -- that was taken from him by the occupation and the genocide and the blockade.

Instead I can only wish for things to get better, and that his next birthday is somewhere safe, where he can feel unburdened and happy.

I made my way with life to make my future. I graduated from Al-Azhar University. I studied business administration, and I was not lucky enough to join a job, not in a government or private institution. I decided to do a project, so I succeeded with the satisfaction of God, and I had a factory that produced brick stones. After October 7, it was bombed with spiteful rockets by the occupation, and we were displaced from my house, and my brothers and son were martyred, and all our dreams were destroyed. Just what I want is that my life continues, generous in this war, and I will survive the rest of my children.
