for that sentryagent role reversal au concept i keep seeing

Given what we know about him, I can see very clearly how Bob would get the hots for the guy who's very fiercely loyal and mean to everyone but him (after getting to know each other). The fact that John's a tad older than him and that without the Sentry powers he'd be way stronger than Bob is... well. Not everything in kink has to be related to trauma but sometimes it is and it's fine.

okay so. knowing john’s experience with losing lemar which then leads him to his addiction, i feel like yelena can relate more on some level. she did mention about getting drunk after a mission etc etc even though not to a point of addiction but the ‘losing someone close’ part would really hit yelena closer after what happened to natasha and how she just doesn’t know how to cope, how to function.

ava is also a nice candidate but she’s a tougher cookie to crack but she is for sure would understand the pain, especially with the fact she lives in pain every fucking day.

so even after the serum, bob does still have bipolar, correct? which i think if he does, the government def tries to hide that away from the public and maybe that brawl with his dad is actually because he’s in an episode (i was thinking manic) hmmm

.......about that role reversal au. The government wanted a nice, new captain America who followed orders and was a very, clean symbol of what America should be. They got Bob, son of the secretary of defence, star inside the army, the perfect guy on paper (because there are some uhhh family dynamics not included bc they would look very bad on general Reynolds résumé). Bob loses the title after a televised brawl with his dad (who conveniently lets the media know that this is all a very sad story, you see, I didn't want to disclose this, but Bob's bipolar-- you can picture the reaction). He's still the sweetest uh agent at valentina's disposal, much to her eternal annoyance. He's honestly half waiting for whatever next mission to kill him.

And then there's John, who got addicted after the car crash in which Lemar was killed. He blames himself terribly for it and this has cost him his marriage. He tells Olivia that he's getting sober and joins the Sentry project.

oh shit yeah i haven’t thought about the powers and john’s power after the sentry project. it would be honestly sad and dope to see if he can kind drag people into his memories AKA revealing what actually happened to him before the addiction that make the team understand and more sympathetic towards him?

i would love to see bob also maybe having the temptation of not being on meds so one time the void creeps out of him oh god so much to think about

please oh my GOD we need to discuss more about the accident that lead to john’s addiction! it literally costs him everything. he doesn’t know how to cope and the addiction is fucking him up. he would wake up in random places, olivia tries to help but then he would relapse and it’s just a looong painful cycle she gives up. and he decides to join the sentry project and i’m actually VERY interested to see bob as agent or even way before that. he’s pulling all that while having bipolar would be very interesting to tell as someone who has bipolar i am gnawing on my enclosure right fucking now

actually going INSANE over this because YES. he’s the kinda guy that would get flustered when people pointed out/wanna touch his biceps, loved to flex em sooo bad too. bob would genuinely praise him about something, maybe about how he shot a guy and deflect a bullet so quick or whatever and he would get all little flustered and like “yeah?” like he is sooo greedy for more praises

bob doesn’t have the drum, of course. his parents won’t let him have one, thinking it’s a waste of money. so he usually would borrow from a friend who later then become his ‘bandmate’ and bob also tags john along with him during his practice but then again bob would only practice for a while since some band session would be more about talking music and get high so john hasn’t actually seen him play. but sometimes he does notice the thicker, rougher part of his fingers or palm or the colorful bandage around his index and wishes he was there when that happened

more on the drummer bob and how he’s a bit vague with it to john. he shrugs when john asks if he knows how to play one after seeing him doing the hand motion unconsciously, saying “nothing serious,” or something like that

doesn’t actually tell john until they’re like a couple months into their relationship. john admires whenever he shares his current favorite song to bob and he immediately and unconsciously does the hand motion thing even though that’s his first time listening to the song. he’d point out that bob has the talent and he’d get shy and deflect the topic
