Calabi-Yau Teleportation!
My good buddy Dr. Rosenberg has been working on a new teleportation device, a more compact and cost-efficient model known as the "Calabi-Yau Model." We've been doing numerous tests today, and I recently installed it into my lab.
Tumblr media
This model is a string based, and uses Xen as a "dimensional slingshot" of sorts. In layman's terms, when passing through the portal, you don't go straight to point B, you pass through what I like to refer as "point X," and from there you get to point B. It is a one way teleport, so you cannot go through where you came out from to go back to point A. We were also able to get a portal directly into Xen. I've never actually seen what Xen looks like until today! It was quite fascinating...
The machine is partially powered on a pure crystal from Xen. I should really study those crystals, I may be a biochemist but I do dabble in other research from time to time. I've been called down to the test chamber numerous times to help run the AMS tests.
It's been a long day today, I better be going soon.
Yours truly,

Lab tour!
Good afternoon!
I figured I would show you my lab in Sector C.
Tumblr media
This is the outside of it! I prefer not to have unwanted people in my lab, it's not a very big lab so it can get crowded quickly! I have a keypad door outside so only I can get in, but I have a retinal scanner on the other end that anyone can use to leave.
Tumblr media
Here is a good overview of my lab! It has all the essential things I need... except for my coffee cup, I seem to have lost it... I do have my own vending machine in the corner, the vending machines in the break room are never quite working.
Tumblr media
In the dead center of the lab, I've been dissecting the Headcrab creatures. I won't be going into much depth on them here, as a good amount of information on them is still... classified. But, they are parasitic. They do taste very good if you ask me! They taste similar to chicken.
I have to get back to my research, so I'll see you all around later.

What were your thoughts about the Car Science Administration? I think it was the greatest point the facility has been at!
Tumblr media
I’m not too sure I really noticed too much. Everything seemed average.

That was fast...
Well, that was quick. Rosenberg won the "election," due to Car Scientist's death.
Nobody in this facility truly dies, not with the fact that the souls tend to stay trapped within the facility. I managed to bring a security commander back to life after he died in the Anti-Mass Spectrometer test chamber because his soul was still wandering the facility. Oh well...

Oh no...
Tumblr media
Chaos is currently ensuing in Sector F. I'm writing this inside of Dr. Rosenberg's lab, but I might make an escape to my lab in Sector C as a safe place.
In the older days of this facility, Sector A was where most labs were built. It was a great place to be, however, these days it's all in Sector F. I'm not too sure about why this is even an argument, Sector A is smaller with less labs while Sector F is bigger with more labs!
Rosenberg wants to create peace between the two sectors... I personally think this is all rather silly, we're all getting paid the same regardless of where in the facility we work.
Car Scientist and Rosenberg are having some form of a debate, of which I do not care for.
I'll keep you updated on the situation as it progresses...
Yours truly,

A Dimensional Breach!
I appear to have missed something massive! In Sector F, which houses the Lambda Core (a large teleportation device that leads to Xen, a "border world" of sorts.), a new, smaller teleportation device was made by Dr. Ethan Vondwarf. It led to a dimension known simply as "X."
Tumblr media
This dimension is similar to that of Xen, with a different race of creatures known as "Race X." I, naturally, wished to study these creatures as soon as I heard about this. Unfortunately I was needed elsewhere...
During my absence, the Race X creatures invaded the facility, and started to try to kill everyone from what I heard. I'm unsure if the HECU units were called into the facility or not. When I got back, things seemed to be cooling down a bit, and the facility looked fine.
I'll have to ask around to figure out exactly what happened. I do know Dr. Rosenberg's lab was destroyed! He was fixing it up when I came back.
I hope a Race X specimen can be captured so I can study it, I'm almost done evaluating the toxic phlegm of a Bullsquid.
Yours truly,

Take it off, take off your skin. It's fine, take it off.
That’s both theoretically and physically impossible! Skin exists as a barrier so unwanted things can’t get into the body! If I “took off my skin” I’d be at risk of just about anything, although I’d likely be dead before anything could get to me.

Do you feel safe in your skin?
Well, that’s a ridiculous question. Of course I feel safe in my own skin. There’s not much else to it than that!

Car Science?
Ah yes, Car Scientist, I remember you in the AMS control room yesterday.
Car science… confuses me greatly, especially your car science. I personally wouldn’t consider a floating scientist body that you drive around to be a car. It’s certainly science, but I thought a car was supposed to have wheels!
There could be good innovations that come from it, and if the Administrator is funding it, then I see no issue with it.

Testing… testing? I believe I’ve gotten this all working.
Greetings to anyone reading this! My name is Walter Bennet, and I am a biochemist at the Black Mesa Research Facility, in the Anomalous Materials Laboratory.
I have decided to begin a blog, documenting my experience here. Everything has been great…! Well, sort of. Most people wouldn’t consider “great” as loose, hostile beings from another world running around the facility and then either getting contained by the bio workers or shot dead by security, but you get used to it.
I’ll try to write as time allows me, I’m pretty flooded in terms of my research and testing. The administrator has been calling me down to the test chamber to help conduct Anti-Mass Spectrometer tests…
If you have any questions regarding me, or the facility, I would love to answer. It’s getting late here, so I better be going now.
Yours truly,
Walter Bennet Biochemist, Anomalous Materials Laboratory Black Mesa Research Facility
