A blog where I share a couple travel tips. I started traveling about 8.5 years ago... which reminds me I should set a reminder to renew my passport. I've learned a few things a long the way and thought I'd share them to help anyone who is interested in traveling more.

Breathtaking views!
South Island New Zealand
The best time to visit the South Island of New Zealand is December to February if you're looking to experience outdoor fun in optimum summer weather. The average daily temperature ranges from 68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit during this time, but bear in mind that the farther south you venture, the cooler lows you may face you could do Tekapo Stargazing
it makes things more unique with a stargazing and hot pools experience. All you'll need to do is lie back on a floating hammock amid 100-degree water and relax as a poolside guide talks myths and legends, constellations and galaxies you could also go skateboarding in Queenstown/Wanaka and Christchurch /canter burry.

Michigan City, IN
This city is about an hour and a half drive from Chicago. It's a quiet town you can take a quick day trip to but you can also book a cheap AirBnb to stay the night. During 4th of July weekend they have a parade and when I was a child they held a carnival at the beach as well. When looking up directions I always look up "Washington Park Zoo".

Horseback riding in DR
This was my first trip to the Dominican Republic, I used AppleVacations "Last Minute" Deals to book a trip for 2 people, All-Inclusive for $1,100 total. We stayed 7 days- 6 nights. These deals are great if you have a lot of flexibility.

Sunrise from a plane.
FYI: early morning flights are usually cheaper than any flight that leaves after 8 am. Another plus, you avoid major airport traffic!

Most importantly, when traveling always carry bottled water with you! I always carry a hydroflask with me to keep my water hot or cold.
I highly recommend purchasing a sling bag to place your hydroflask in if you plan on walking a lot. Something where you can store your phone and some money so you can travel light.

Beaches of Puerto Vallarta
Before booking a trip to Puerto Vallarta, ensure you make note of their rain season. One of the days I was there, it rained for 2 hours and the streets were completely flooded. Most hotels sit at the bottom of a mountain, so all the rain from the top comes rushing down and into the ocean. Puerto Vallarta beaches are also infested with Crocodiles and they come out more after the rain.

Winter Road-trips
*Always Double check the weather before leaving.*
Ignored multiple snow storm warnings on my way to Mall of America. On my last night in Minnesota, a blizzard hit and I walked out to my truck being completely buried in snow. Minnesota snow storms are not like the Chicago snow storms I'm used to lol
