day 5: cortona we had a very lazy, relaxing day in our new accommodation! later on, we visited the nearby town of cortona. it had lots of shops and beautiful views of the area. we'll return there for a longer look soon!

day 4: a travel day we leave agriturismo serena for another agriturismo near cortona. it's a long day - maybe four or five hours of driving!

day 3: san vigilio we visited San Vigilio, a beach on lake Garda, on Friday. We had an amazing time swimming and relaxing after our busy wedding day. afterwards, we met our family in lazise for dinner and went for a walk along the front.

day 1: verona pt 2 we saw juliet's balcony. many people have written their names on the walls there, on plasters they stick there, or on chewing gum they stick to the walls there. there was also a door covered in named locks. my mum wrote my dad's name and her own with their wedding date. they've recently had their 20th anniversary.

day 1: the car.
our car is a ford. it's not going too well: it's automatic, and my dad hasn't driven automatic in about twenty years. he keeps slamming on the breaks when he means to change gear. it's not such a pleasant ride.

We're Here!
We arrived in Bergamo at quarter to midnight last night, after a slightly delayed flight and an exhausting day of travelling. "We" is my mum, my dad, and my two brothers Matthew and James. We stayed in a hotel and today we're leaving to drive to our next stop, near Lake Garda. We might stop and see Verona - "in fair Verona, where we lay our scene," - which I would really like to do, but the plan is to go to Gardaland tonight, so we might not have the time or energy!
