Audiobooks!
How could I not share with everyone, for all love?
These are narrated by in the incomparable Patrick Tull. These were zipped down into smaller sizes, so you need to download each part and use your file zipping program of choice to get the complete file. Then please go buy the full audiobook series, because it’s literally worth every penny. I am an audiobook junkie, and only the Roy Dotrice Song of Ice & Fire audiobooks even come close to comparing to how excellent Patrick Tull’s Aubreyad performance is.

Because the first time I got raped, my boyfriend broke up with me because I had “cheated” on him. Because the word “rape” is considered a joke. Because over 70% of women let their partners fuck them when they don’t want it. Because 17% of American women have been the victim of sexual assault at some point in their lives. Because only 39% of rapists get reported to the police, and only 3% of them go to jail. Because about 13% of the rape victims commit suicide. Because the first time I got raped, he put a knife to my throat and told me he would kill me if I said I didn’t want it. Because when I wanted to report him, people told me I couldn’t because I hadn’t said “no” to him. Because at least half of all babies born to minor women are fathered by adult men. (10+ years age difference) Because I can’t wear a skirt without being told “I’m asking for it.” Because when I went to a party when I was 14 and I wore a skirt and a guy kept touching my ass all night, my mother told me it shouldn’t have happened if I wore sweatpants. Because a 16 year old girl who had her first orgasm while getting raped, had to watch her 34 (!) year old rapist go free because she had had an orgasm. Because when my guy friend told me and some friends he got raped by a women when he was 12, a “friend” laughed at him and said he should be happy he got laid that young. Because my 17 year old best friend’s parents let her 14 year old brother walk outside until 12pm, but she has to be home at 10. Because a guy from my old school got raped by another guy, but because he is gay, they said it wasn’t considered rape. Because a 19 year old lesbian got raped by a guy, and he didn’t go to prison because he said “he only tried to turn her straight so she would get accepted by her parents” Because in some cultures, girls (and boys) still get thrown out of the family because some guy/girl sexually assaulted them. Because they’re still teaching girls to walk faster at night instead of teaching guys they shouldn’t rape. Because I have to explain why I’m angry because of rape.
Why I am fucking angry - D.A.N (the-fault-in-our-scars)
This is the most not ok thing I have ever read. This is disgusting and it makes me sad beyond words.

Startling extended Tamir Rice video surfaces
Tamir Rice’s 14-year-old sister was left to watch her 12-year-old brother lay dying in the snow after he was shot by a Cleveland police officer on the afternoon of Nov. 22, 2014. The teen girl, who was tackled and detained as she tried to approach her brother’s body, watched the ordeal unfold in handcuffs, while sitting in the back of a police cruiser less than 10 feet from his body
The disturbing new details match the account given by Rice’s mother, Samaria, at a press conference in December

I also hope a friend of mind reads this because sometimes they worry me and im afraid to talk to them directly about suicide and i want them to know i care

im rebloging this tonight because its my most popular post and at the end of the day i'm still a narcissist looking for approval and ive been drinking so the attention goes twice as far
White roses
I bought you a dozen white roses
Just like an Italian funeral
You asked me why
Why would I do such a thing?
So I told you how I found you
Late last night in the tub
Letting your sadness
Run out of your veins
The color gone from you face
Your eyes lifeless and dull
I realized then that in every attempt that fails
With every scar that lingers
Part of us still dies
And you don’t buy I tombstone for a soul
So I bought you flowers

"ZELDA U": THE WORLD WILL CHANGE AND BE AFFECTED BY WHAT YOU DO
Another interview popped up with Shigeru Miyamoto, this time from “The Associated Press”, and we got to learn something truly fascinating about the upcoming Zelda title. When asked about what his strategy was for the new Zelda game coming out for the Wii U, this is what he replied with:
"One of the main things we wanted to do was go back to the open-world concept of the original “Zelda” games and design with that in mind. That’s really the direction the team is going in. This time, we’ve brought back Link’s horse, Epona, and his bow and arrow, but what we’ve decided is really fun is being able to freely walk around in this world and choose what you want to do and how you want to explore. I can’t talk much about it, but one of the things we’re working on right now is that, as you play, the world will change and be affected by what you choose to do.”
Did you read that? That last part? I sure hope so, I bolded it for you. Just to be on the safe side, let me reiterate that for you: “The world will change and be affected by what you choose to do." Read it now? Ok, good.
That is insane! Ever since the release of A Link Between Worlds and Hyrule Warriors, we’ve seen the development team slowly straying away from the usual Zelda Formula. They’ve been taking it one small step at a time, making sure the players have a smooth transition into getting Zelda games with different gameplay mechanics. Up until this moment, we thought that the return of the original Zelda game’s huge, open world was Zelda U's way of doing that, but apparently there's much more to it.
I’m going to try and not get ahead of myself here [too much]. While this sounds like it has amazing potential, it could very well be something small or that’ll blow up in our face. Still, it shows a lot of promise, and I am extremely anxious to hear more on the subject!

PLEASE LOOK UP THIS STORY. By @revolutionary_mindset A new petition is circulating in response to death of an African American citizens at the hands of police officers who many are calling the “female Eric Garner.” The petition demands a demanding a federal and state investigation into the death of Sheneque Proctor, 18.
Proctor was kill in the Bessemer City Jail after she was arrested on November 1st. She was at a Bessemer hotel at a part with friends when police arrived and arrested her for “disorderly conduct,” according to her aunt, Tracy Rodda.
Early the next morning, Proctor was found dead in her jail cell, after having complained of problems with asthma which police apparently refused to take seriously.
Bessemer City Attorney Shan Paden commented, “I know the case. I know we had a death in the jail. Erring on a conservative side, not to protect the city but to protect the rights of an 18-year-old, the city of Bessemer will not disclose any information.” The petition was created on Change.org last Monday, but has received relatively little attention. The petition explains the following about Sheneque Proctor’s death and links it to unrest throughout the nation. #LionzKingsView #WeareFergusonLA #MillionsMarchLA #Ferguson #FergusonLA #FergusonNY #FergusonTX #BlackLivesMatter #IcantBreathe #AnotherHashTag
