Stubborn as his father, as his mother had told him time and time again. Maybe that was why he had yet to bow out and openly admit he needed directions, or a lift to his destination, or maybe it was whatever pride he had.
The roll of her eyes had lips widening into a pleased grin, a soft chuckle escaping him. However, the chuckle was bitten back at the threat of being left behind, not quite knowing if the woman was serious or not.
“Name’s Adam, not dork. —-and, since you so insist you give me a ride, might as well do it right, right?”
And, with that, the blond stuck out his head, thumb up, in the sign for hitchhiking, little grin still firmly in place.
She was stubborn to a point, as well, which explained her reluctance to let him win this argument at all.
But she still had the hardest time biting back her own smile about the situation, letting the unknown moments build up until neither of them could take it anymore.
“Janet. And--- wow. Just- just wow.”
One hand moved up to cover her eyes briefly before she pinched the bridge of her nose and waved her keys in her hand.
“C’mon.”

TWO WEEK SEMI-HIATUS
Sooooooo as of today, August 3rd, I’m gonna kinda be semi-hiatusing ‘cause my mom is making me go through this class thing at the Workforce Services place. Supposedly it’s gonna help me with interviewing skills and fixing my resume, but idk at this point. It’s gonna be from like 8am to 2 or 3pm from Monday to Thursday, so I’m basically going back to school for two weeks.
I’ll do replies when I can, but yeah. And then I don’t even know when I’m gonna be able to get a job after this, so….I’ll be here when I’m here, I guess? Yeah. I don’t know. Just thought I’d let you guys know, is all.

friendly reminder that janet is now human and bradly is basically immortal to her now and that makes him seriously more protective over her because of that reason. and he deathly avoids the matter of the fact that he can outlive her by hundreds of years. she could be eighty years old, shrinking in height, and losing her memory ever so slowly and he’d still look like him, and he’d still love her to death.

It wasn’t quite intentional to deny the fact that he was lost; quite the contrary, Adam was usually quick to accept defeat when it occurred, including accepting a fact as little as being lost in town. Why he was so adamant on saying the contrary was unknown, though it definitely didn’t stop the abrupt straightening of his posture in undeniable hope.
The hope clashed with the smirking sass in his words, which, notably, were not denying the offer the blonde was so kindly giving him.
“Y’know that’s a really bad pickup line; you should work on it to definitely win me over.”
Janet didn’t understand what his deal was--- so what if he really was lost? Everyone had that happen every now and then, it wasn’t like it was the end of the world or anything. It just meant he needed a little push in the right direction, was all.
There was another roll of her eyes, however, at his response. She should have known that sort of thing would come up, but alas, she didn’t.
“Wasn’t a pickup line, dork. I was bein’ serious. Unless you don’t want a ride to that diner, then I can totally just leave you here and go home, anyway.”
She wasn’t actually serious about leaving him there, but it didn’t hurt to see how he’d react to that.

“’course I’m convincing you. Because I’m not lost at all.”
A nod that was supposed to be convinced but was more so determined coupled the airy response the blond gave, smile widening into a cocky, Winchester-esque grin.
Blue hues tracked the movement around the car, from the trunk to the driver’s side, before resettling on her features. Eyebrows rose slightly, as if he was surprised to get caught in his little lie, words leaving him in a sheepish huff of laughter.
“Maybe I am.”
“Mhmm. Okay then.”
The brow stayed up near her hairline for a moment or two more before she crossed her arms against her chest. She wasn’t going to be fooled by the cockiness, nor was she going to be sidetracked by the sass, but she still couldn’t help herself from shifting her head just the slightest bit at his admission.
“Y’know, if you really need it, I can probably drop you off on my way home, or something. Or if you can wait a bit, I can drop these off first and then take you.”

Speak of the devil…
The sharp whistle had his head snapping up to seek out the source, eyes immediately settling on the blonde from earlier. A little grin, edges of it filled with chagrin, curved across features, despite himself. It was somewhat of a relief to see a familiar - as familiar as two strangers can get - face.
“Pfft, no.”
Head shook in immediate dissent of the question, though it was beyond obvious he was, in fact, lost.
A disbelieving snort left the blonde’s noise as a brow raised at the same time. Right, because being not lost was totally why he was back in that same area once again. She wasn’t convinced.
“Uh-huh. Sure. You’re not really convincing me here, sweetheart.”
There was a small shake of her head before Janet tapped the roof of her car during the brief two seconds it took to walk around to the driver’s side.
“You still trying to find that diner again?”

She’d only planned to make a single grocery run and then stay home for the rest of the day. She didn’t have to work for another couple of days, but something in her gut told her that something was going to happen– she wasn’t sure what, but it was something.
A single glance upwards as she closed the trunk of her car, and that’s when she spotted him. There was the release of a single chuckle before she shook her head and whistled in his direction.
“You get lost again?”

Honestly? It was more like...staring at him for a solid minute and then slowly faceplanting into the closest pillow before just going “OHMYGOD.”
So basically, her usual noping out, yes.
wantedafamily replied to your post: Nick’s idea of fun?Saying really bad p…
I can’t even tell you what Janet’s reaction to that possibility was.
Was it a facepalm? Was it that she just noped out? Was it another pun to back sass him?

Send "Will you be quiet now?" For my muses reactions to yours pushing them against a wall and kissing them
She’d been constantly worrying herself sick about things-- about John showing up again, about how Nick and Liz would do in school, anything she could worry about was more than likely sent full-throttle to the front of her mind.
It wasn’t healthy, she knew that much, but she really couldn’t help it either.Worrying was in her blood. She knew that Bradly knew that. Which may have explained the suddenness of his kiss with them both against the wall. It had surprised Janet at first, but after a moment or two, she’d returned it as her hands lifted to grip at the fabric of the other’s shirt. She wasn’t sure how much time had passed before they were able to pull away, but by the time they did, she leaned her forehead against Bradly’s chest to give herself a chance to catch her breath, nodding briefly.
“You know I can’t promise it for very long, but--- yeah...”
