re: post wrath of lamb. bedelia lives, obviously. judging by how high up the fucking Lover’s Leap(TM) was i’m going to give will and hannibal maybe 12 - 13 hours before either hannibal or both of them return to the dinner table. mostly because a) there was likely some injuries upon the impact b) there was no beach in sight so they’d have to swim in a storm to land after a huge drop and c) they’d likely both pass the fuck out upon reaching shore. that being said, that’s certainly enough time for the drug cocktail hannibal gave bedelia to wear off and more than enough time for bedelia to find a phone and get help. more than enough time for her to be taken to a hospital and, in a final farewell ‘fuck you’ to hannibal, have his dinner confiscated (BITCH MEANT WHAT SHE SAID WHEN SHE SAID NOT TODAY). bedelia, post wrath of lamb, is in the witness protection program. she was relocated to montreal, canada; and now goes by the name louise hélène bergeron. she wears a prosthetic leg; but doesn’t quite have the movement she used to -- no doubt hannibal’s intent.

i don’t subscribe to the idea that will and bedelia are jealous of each other; that bedelia would act like a Scorned Lover(TM) when faced with a Replacement(TM). will and bedelia are two people who have seen hannibal as he is not once, but twice; and gotten out alive. they know how he works. they know how he thinks on an intimate setting. they don’t know everything, but they know enough together. will is open and bedelia is closed off. will feels too much and bedelia does not allow herself to. she likes to pretend that she’s more mentally durable. she likes to pretend that she isn’t as susceptible to hannibal’s machinations as others are. she’s got some tough skin on her; and part of that is because both hannibal and bedelia pyschoanalyse each other constantly. but she’s strained. “observing or participating.” bedelia says observing but she knows that while she may be passive in these acts, she is still a participant. just not the sort of participant hannibal wants.
