'I’m a royal expert - this is why Prince William will not strip Harry of his title'

There has been speculation about whether Prince William will strip the Duke and Duchess Sussex of their titles once he becomes king.

A royal expert has shared why she thinks Prince William will never strip Prince Harry of his title. The subject of Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal titles has created controversy in recent weeks, and there has been speculation about the Prince of Wales taking them away from the couple once he becomes king.

While the former working royals are no longer supposed to use their HRH titles for commercial reasons, Harry and Meghan still very much present themselves as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, titles which were gifted to them by Queen Elizabeth II on their wedding day in 2018. There have been repeated calls from the anti-Sussex camp to strip the California-based couple of these honours, but no indication that King Charles has any intention of doing so.

Yet with William, 42, next in line to the throne, rumours have circulated that he might take a different stance, especially since he and Harry, 40, are no longer on speaking terms and, according to royal expert Jennie Bond, could be estranged forever.

But she warned that it might not be something we ever see happen, especially given the complexity of taking away titles.

She told the Mirror: "Granted, there seems to be a public appetite for stripping them of their titles, but I think it’s unlikely that William would choose to do this. It would seem, and in fact would be, quite vindictive.

There is also the question of whether a monarch can indeed do this.

"Some titles could be removed on the will of the Sovereign, but the universal view is that to strip someone of their Peerage demands an act of Parliament. Harry became Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron of Kilkeel when he married in 2018. "And it would be a brave government to venture into that field when there are, in all honesty, so many more pressing issues. King Edward VIII remained a Duke for the rest of his life, even though he lived in exile. "William may remain estranged from his brother forever, even though this would be a very sad state of affairs. But, if he does, I think he will continue to regard Harry simply as irrelevant to his life and to this country. And I don’t think he would trouble himself with taking away either of their titles."

Harry and Meghan’s children – Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, who turns four next week – were not automatically given the titles of prince and princess at birth because they were not the grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth II, the monarch at the time.

Prince Harry has always been Meghan Markle's knight in shining armor.

The Duchess of Sussex opened up about how her husband helped her with a referral to a professional when her mental health was at a low point.

"I think at my worst point, being finally connected to someone that, you know, my husband had found a referral for me to call and I called this woman," Meghan, 41, shared on the Oct. 11 episode of her Archetypes podcast, "she didn't know I was even calling her and she was checking out at the grocery store."

Meghan said she introduced herself to the woman, who had no idea who she was speaking to, noting that despite being distracted, the professional could sense the urgency.

Funny, the groom had come out months earlier to announce Harry was NFI.

Recollections do vary for little boy blunder.

First, aren't they against sources? Second, the wedding is done and the bride is even pregnant move on.

She called the charity commission in to audit the money amongst other things. So that makes this quite a tale. It would be as if she called the police on herself. Lol. I am sure there is money mismanagement. It is not hers. The squad is even getting desperate.

As an aside, a Court granting an injunction is really rare. The standard is quite high. She would have had to show with some evidence that she is more likely than not to prevail at trial. And she met the burden. She filed the case on the 5th and the last court activity was the 14th and this week they all ran. A very eventful March.

As for Harry, he would do best to keep his mouth shut. He won't though. First he was standing with the Trustees who fled. Then it was the Dr.'s fault. Then his heart was broken. Even though he had not visited the charity in 6 years. And his polo once a year did nothing for the charity. Just breaking even. And now today he is blaming Trump and his Administration for cutting USAID. Which Sentable and American Friends of Sentable were receiving.

The Dr. knows the Commission will find things. They always do. She will heed the recommendations and call them back after the changes are made. Which is very smart and transparent.

And btw she is in this role voluntarily. Not getting paid.

Nicholls is not the brightest. It is not and never will be up to Catherine. It is done. And when you go through cancer you learn a lot. I learnt life is too short to deal with toxic people like the Sussexes. Not heal their aggressive lies about you and your family. Get a grip Nicholls. We all come out of it differently. What REALLY happened when Prince William played with his scarf rather than talking to Meghan Markle at Sandringham

Prince William is not known for being fashion-conscious.

The father-of-three, 42, often opts for a tailored jacket and slim-fitting trousers - a practical outfit that does not need much adjusting when you're out and about. But as he left St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham on Christmas Day in 2018 alongside other members of the Royal Family, he became focused on tucking his scarf into his jacket - just as his sister-in-law, the Duchess of Sussex, appeared to try to make conversation.

Eagle-eyed royal fans quickly took to social media to theorise that it was William's way of avoiding Meghan and his brother, Prince Harry, amid speculation that he had fallen out with them. Writing on Instagram, one dedicated royal follower said: 'It’s sad William ignored Meghan's chatter as it looked like she said something to him!' Another added: 'Look at William being super obsessed with his scarf.'

But body language expert Judi James disagreed with this common observation, stating that Meghan may not have turned to talk to William in the first place. 'The "moment" between William and Meghan did depend on their proximity and her eye gaze,' James told the Express.

'On the surface it looked as though Meghan turned around to smile at William while he kept himself busy tucking his scarf into his coat and her face did appear to have dropped as she turned back. 'But she could have been smiling at Kate rather than William, meaning he might genuinely have been out of the conversational loop at that particular point.'

Kate was used to acting as a bridge between her family and the Sussexes. But in that moment, she was busy having a conversation with Princess Anne. 

What's more, the Daily Mail's Diary Editor Richard Eden highlighted Princess Catherine's 'peacemaker' role in the awkward footage from Sandringham. Speaking in an episode of Reading the Royals in August 2024, the royal expert said: 'It looks like [William] just doesn't want to speak to Meghan at all and then at that point, it seems Catherine intervenes. 'You know, as we've seen so often with her, she seems to be sort of the peacemaker and trying to make a bit of small talk, knowing full well that the cameras are all on them.'

It is understood that Queen Elizabeth II and the then Prince Charles allegedly made it clear that any rift between the two couples must be kept out of the public eye as they arrived together at the church that day.

A source told The Sun: 'The Queen and Charles have allowed the situation to play out without overtly interfering - but they both made it clear that Christmas was for the whole family to really come together. 'That meant the two couples walking into church together as the Fab Four just like they had last year. 'Yes, it was awkward and uncomfortable given what's gone on over the past 12 months but the alternative of even more negativity on Christmas Day wasn't worth thinking about.'

As well as putting on a united front by talking to the Sussexes on Christmas Day, Catherine made several attempts to extend an olive branch to Harry and Meghan before they officially stepped down as working royals in March 2020. Although 'recollections may vary' as to who made who cry when it came to altering Princess Charlotte's flower girl dress in time for Harry and Meghan's royal wedding in May 2018, it seems Catherine tried her best to bury the hatchet.

It was reported that Meghan left Kate 'in tears' over her 'strict demands' when it came to Princess Charlotte's flower girl dress. But when speaking to Oprah, Meghan claimed that 'the reverse happened'

Harry and Meghan's Oprah interview sent shockwaves through the monarchy - and William struggled to recover from this emotionally.

In July 2021, William was due to unveil a statue of his mother Princess Diana in Kensington Palace's Sunken Garden with his brother Harry, who had flown in from California for the occasion. Although William was still seething from his brother's allegations, a source told The Sunday Times that Catherine 'worked her magic out of sight' to ensure the unveiling went ahead smoothly. The aide said: '[Catherine] was amazing behind the scenes when Harry came.'

Royal expert Katie Nicholl recently said that the Princess of Wales will continue to act as a peacekeeper between the brothers as she has realised that life is 'far too short' for family feuds. 'When you go through something like a cancer diagnosis and you go through the sort of journey she has done, and you confront your own mortality, you realise life is short,' Katie Nicholl told The Sun. 'It's far too short for rifts and family feuds. Perhaps that will be the role that she will play at some point in healing the rift.'

It will bring great coverage here. Charles and Diana came as well when they were the Prince and Princess of Wales. It can also perhaps ease the tension between both countries. Also, The Royal Foundation has trademarked different events in the U.S. And Williams biggest donors from Earthshot come from the U.S. So not a bad idea. Hopefully KP can keep up with it.

Trump wanting William and Kate to come to the states because he’s weirdly obsessed with royalty is so yuck.

So, considering that Megsy has been “working tirelessly” for five months (that is, after the recordings she did with Netflix for LoveIdon'tcare), what did she do during the previous seven months after launching the brand?

How does someone work tirelessly for five months on a brand that she launched many months before? What happened to the 7 months in which I did not work for the brand? Or the year before launching the brand?
