Frankly some of you should be hornier over weirder shit. The fear of being too genuine is the enemy of art. Be a bit of a pervert. It's good for the health. Doesn't have to be a sexual thing just own up to being a bit obsessed in some cringe shit it's fine.

It's easy to lose the meaning in the quote, "Be the change you wish to see in the world" because it tends to be overused. But it's true, if you want to see the world become a better place, you have to be part of the force that makes it so.
Say hi to people, hold the door open for the people behind you, let people go first when you're driving around. Compliment someone's outfit, pick up trash off the ground, stand up for someone if you feel they are being mistreated.
In a world that so badly wants you to be selfish and disinterested, be loudly and rebelliously kind!

I love how- when Campaign 2 started we were like "IF YOU EVER WANTED TO START CRITICAL ROLE, NOW IS THE TIME BECAUSE IT'S A NEW CAMPAIGN WITH NEW CHARACTERS SO YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING AND-" We were pretty chill, all things considered. And also we were right.
So when campaign 3 started we were like "IF YOU EVER WANTED TO START CRITICAL ROLE, NOW IS THE TIME BECAUSE IT'S A NEW CAMPAIGN WITH NEW CHARACTERS SO YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING AND-" boy were we wrong. Insanely wrong. lmao.
Anyway! Nevermind all that! Campaign 4 of critical role starts soon and if you ever wanted to start getting into critical role NOW IS THE TIME! COME IN, THE WATER'S WARM, THE CAST IS EXPANDING, NEW CHARACTERS, NEW DM, NEW WORLD, NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY THIS TIME, WE PROMISE

Give us control of the damn algorithm we're leaving
I cannot put into words how much I Fucking Loathe the fact that when you search something on youtube now it will randomly intersperse blocks of "people also watched" and "for you" into the results. That's not what I searched for, youtube. I typed in a search query because I wanted to see search results, not random unrelated garbage you have placed in my way apparently to either inconvenience me or force me to scroll further for actual results. I despise your wretched little games and every time I see it I can only instantly close the tab as I am overcome with the urge to burn something down.

while I don’t agree with that referring to men in their 30s-early 40s as “old man yaoi”, I UNDERSTAND why many people who primarily consume honest-to-goodness BL manga are quicker to call it that, because there is just such poor representation for men that aren’t hairless dehydrated 20-something twunks. They’re wrong, but I get why it happens.
I also understand that “middle-aged yaoi” isn’t as fun to say as “old man yaoi”, even when it’s more technically accurate.
So I would like to propose new vocabulary: Grown Ass Yaoi. yaoi that’s grown ass men. they’re not old but they’re not young adults either. you get me? Grown Ass Yaoi

By the way, I think it's important to know (for context, if nothing else) that most people LIKE their gender. Most people generally LIKE the experience of being their gender much more than they dislike it.
This is part of why gender, like, persists as a concept.
A lot of people (particularly people who don't realize they're trans, and also TERFs) think that most people (especially women) HATE their genders and HATE their experience with gender.
That's really far from true. Most women like being women (cis or trans). They hate sexism for sure (unless they're a tradwife or antifeminist and don't believe it exists ig), they may have suffered tremendously due to sexism, but like. They generally do like being women.
Similarly, most men, like. Generally like being men and enjoy that they are men and enjoy being a man.
So if you hate your gender, if you hate being a woman or being a man and assume everyone secretly lowkey feels that way on the inside, I really do want to let you know that that is not actually how most people feel and you should probably do some thinking about whether you might be trans
#I recently had a revelation#that whilst I'm non-binary (in an 'i dismiss the concept of gender' kinda way)#I would be okay with being a woman if other people weren't so damn obsessed with it#like it would be fine if it wasn't the way people are described in articles (“a woman was hurt” rather than “a person”)#pronouns are everywhere#and I just want to be defined by like. what I'm doing. what I care about#you give people a clearer image of me by saying “a mathematician” or “a gamer” than “a woman”#and even for people who enjoy their gender I think it's rare for it to be the most important part of their identity#so yeah like. I'll not be a woman until language changes so that it's less important#but I was okay with being a girl?#idk

It's like idk man, I still wash my paint brushes the way my art teacher taught me how a decade ago. I eat tortillas the same way as the ex I haven't seen in years. You can fly to the other side of the world and the shop will play the song your dad played in the car when you were a kid and it still sounds exactly the same. My hair grows funny in one spot because I got a scar on my scalp when I was six.
Sometimes I reach for light switches that aren't there, that have never been there, because I used to live someplace that had a light switch in that spot. And I think maybe life is about repeatedly reaching for light switches that aren't there. In a few years you'll be somewhere else, and you'll reach for the light switches you have now.

the only reliable, effective way of "protecting children" is education. but people don't want to hear that because they don't actually care about protecting children, they care about protecting a mythologised ideal of innocence

what if your doppelganger loved being you more than you ever loved being yourself. they're better at being you and everyone loves them and it feels almost selfish to want your life back. i want clone horror but the horror is that the thing trying to replace you is also the person you always wanted to be.
