Okay, first of all, I go to therapy once a week, so jot that down.

Second, it’s just whump, and that's a perfectly normal genre. In this case I also think it’s the most realistic outcome. You can argue for “break the haughty” as another relevant trope. No matter what, if we get to see Loki cry and fall apart every other episode for our twisted enjoyment, I should get to see Brad do the same. And then maybe even get better. As a treat.
