Electronic Water Level Sensors
No Maintenance Means Stability and Reliability
No moving parts in the water
No Plating
No Fouling

There is no deterioration of the sensor rod tips no matter the water quality.
The core technology that Waterline Controls uses for water level sensing helps eliminate the need for maintenance. It starts with advanced micro-processing with custom software to control the sensing part of the probes so there is no power conducted on the probes. Conductive power is what normally has been problematic, because it would have acted like a battery. With the software as the driving mechanism the maintenance requirements due to deteriorating sensor probes has been eliminated. This also means there are also no moving parts in the water. Any plating or fouling, a deterioration that would be caused by the battery affect is eliminated because there is no battery effect.

Waterline Controls Water Level Controllers Are Easy To Use and Monitor
At Waterline Controls we incorporate an Intuitive Light System that monitors the status of the electronic water level controller, constantly letting you know what the controls and switches are doing at all times, making your level controller easy to understand.
A practical advantage to any system is the ability for it to be understood. Waterline Controls decided that having the system easy to both use and understand would be a good thing. One way we did that was to use LED lights to indicate status condition and changes.

There is an LED light for every switch point
When the light is on the switch it activates is on
Possible indicators include: Fill, Low and/or High Level Alarms, Heat-cut and Test
Audible alarms also available
So, whenever the controls show a light activated, it means the switch associated with that light is operating. In our water level controls we call this concept an intuitive light system. When the light is on the associated Dry contact to the remote panel is also activated. When the light is out he switch is no longer transmitting.

A cooling tower is used as part of an air conditioning system as an evaporative heat extraction/rejection device. Instead of using air to remove heat, larger building cooling systems and industrial processes will use water evaporation to transfer heat out of the system. Typically a cooling tower will account for a major portion of the water usage in a commercial building. Evaporative cooling will remove water, leaving behind minerals. This requires flushing / replacing water to keep the system clean and prevent scaling. Even if scale inhibitors are used, accurately measuring both the quality and levels of the system are absolutely critical. An integral part of this is controlling the water levels. An old fashioned float level system is outdated and ineffectual in providing accuracy, reliability or longevity, compared to modern liquid level controls. The WLC Series of cooling tower water level controllers uses stainless steel probes with up to six functions to maintain the water level, alert the facility manager of high or low levels, cut off a basin heater, and read the water temperature. All of these functions are controlled by software, which can be directly connected to the Building Management System using dry contacts.

New Cooling Tower Eurovent Standard
An outline of a new Eurovent standard for thermal efficiency rating that was 14 months in the making will be presented at the Chillventa International Exhibition in Nuremberg on the 11th of October, 2016.
The new European standard was developed in a joint operation that included companies that control 90% of the European cooling tower industry. By setting a strong minimum standard for thermal efficiency they hope to comply with current public energy efficiency ideals.
Climate Abu Dhabi
The recent inaugural Climate Abu Dhabi event showcased the latest energy efficiency designs in the HVAC industry. Special events such as the ‘Climate Technology 2030’ forum helped spotlight new technologies and advancements in energy efficiency and ecology. Climate Abu Dhabi is an ideal gateway for international industrial leaders who want to expand into the UAE market or to learn about innovative new products.

Altitude Valve Replacement
An Altitude Valve is an ‘old fashioned’ control that closes at a preset level to prevent overflow of water in a ground storage tank, break tank or reservoir. It is a mechanical device that opens a valve for refill, when the water level in the tank or reservoir lowers.
A modern solution for Fire Safety water tank systems an electronic sensor and microprocessor controlled, automated, system that also connects to building management systems and provides alarms. The Waterline Controls WLC FPT-50 is just such a system. This water level control with high and low alarm gives you modern, state of the art controls and peace of mind.
For elevated reservoirs our replacement for the altitude valves might be the SWS5000 Control System.
Less expensive and not as temperamental, an electronic control system can let you know the status from remote locations, and provide feedback a mechanical valve cannot.
Remember, Waterline Control Systems come with:
Modern, intrinsically safe, electronic sensors
Connections for a BAS or building management system
Audible and visual alarms
