Not sure about anyone else but I re-read all my favourite AO3 comments when I’ve had a rough day so if you’ve ever taken the time to write a deep, funny, or just kind comment, thank-you.

this post made me want to get started on the next chapter right now 🤧 the first fic recced sounds right up my alley too --- I'm all for lyrical prose !!
p.s that drink looks delicious
My terrible long Monday(™) and SQ fics
(Fic rec if you will)
My terrible long Monday(™) was a little less horrible today because I started reading quiet, so quiet by @sssammich in my train commute and I finished it in my lunch break. It's a lyrical view (prose poetry, the Author says) on one day in Regina's lifehead.
I strongly suggest to whomever is reading this to stop and go read that instead (well, take a look at the other suggestion at the end too before going :D)
It's great - all emotions and atmosphere. It's one of those where I can't successfully highlight anything in my kobo - I read a couple of paragraphs, I have to stop to take them all in, reread them, point the finger to the start to highlight and drag it down 2 paragraphs. Then I start reading again and I'm tempted to point the finger again and drag it down 1, 2, 3 4 paragraphs. I might as well not have highlighted anything. I can't pinpoint what it's great and that's what makes it great for me.
And it's for similar reasons that I have high hopes for my end of Monday too with @wavesketcher-sq new fic's first chapter waiting for me, with the (self-)promised celebratory white lady (as photographic evidence proves).

(sorry, I know, the pic is huge, I can't seem to make it smaller, and I really gotta go rest :)
I wish to all to find something so good to read in their day, and good night to all SQ fic readers :)

Two Can Play (ft. simping Regina)
Mayoral Duties were hard-going that morning, and Regina Mills has made the executive decision to take a ‘mental health’ afternoon. A rare occurrence; though rarer is allowing herself a cream cheese bagel. She has just stepped onto the path to the Mansion, is just lifting her indulgence to red-painted lips, when she notices the window cleaner, and the bagel drops to the floor.
“Shit,” she mutters, though doesn’t bend to pick up the calorie-carcass. Her gaze is fixed on the lean, muscled form of the woman — woman —scaling her walls. (And that is not a euphemism, though Regina wishes it were).
“Hello?” She calls, regaining her composure and striding over to the porch. “I don’t remember hiring a window cleaner?”
The woman grins down at her from the summit of the ladder, blonde waves flying about her face. “Someone did. Must have been your husband.”
“Robin?” She swiftly corrects the woman’s mistake. “Not my husband. A friend. He’s been having some trouble with his house in the woods. Something about a squirrel infestation, the details are rather tedious, I—” Regina swallows. She is doing that Thing again. The Thing where she rambles at a beautiful woman. The Thing that kids these days call Gay Panic.
“Sounds nasty.”
“Mhm.” Regina is trying exceptionally hard not to look at the lines of sweat collecting atop the woman’s abdomen. It’s a warm spring day and the tank top is rather tight.
“I’m Em. I would shake your hand but…” She offers a crooked smile.
“Yes. Don’t fall off, dear.”
Em laughs. “Would you catch me?”
Regina can’t think of a witty response, so puts her head down and hurries into the house.
Read the full chapter here. I'M BACK!!! I have quite an unhinged plot for this story but who doesn't love some chaotic gays?? Oh, how I've missed writing comedy too.

I've woken up to the most beautiful, thoughtful comments on Kintsugi the last couple of days. I'm not sure where this flurry of new readers have come from, but it fills me with joy to see so many enjoying the story. It was a very special story to write :')

for my sapphic girlies,
I’ve read two GREAT gay gay gay books in January that I just need to rec:
Boulder by Eva Baltasar (translated from Catalan)
The Safekeep by Yael van der Wouden
The writing!???? The sex scenes!???? My my my.
; also, much frustration watching S2 of XO, Kitty and skipping all scenes from anyone who wasn’t gay/indulging in gay thoughts xoxo
