How's the reblog game going? It's been a while since I've seen anything related to it.

A WIP is sitting there!! I apologize that it’s been so long, on top of my job and my hand it’s been difficult kind of because the panels are so much and my iPad is running out of storage so it’s been slow going moving stuff over to keep making things.

Also, I’m trying to figure out how to reformat the reblog game. It’s getting so long and some people have (rightfully!!) been complaining about that so I’m trying to figure out how to make that easier. It’s getting a lot longer than I thought it would! I originally planned to just do one drawing for each part but couldn’t resist doing all these panels instead!!

I didn’t really want to mess with it as it would get rid of the original reblog dates of each part, but I’m probably going to go back to part one and reblog every part again individually, just under a “read more” this time.

Yes! Everything you see on my store that is in stock was once a preorder item! I always take preorders to know how many to order (of course), and then order extras of everything to put up on my store afterwards. You should be able to purchase any of these current preorder products at any time after the preorder period (and since I’ll then have them in stock, you’ll be able to get them shipped to you much faster than a preorder item).

If anything ever goes out of stock that you (or anyone else!) still wants, let me know and I will order a small restock of that item. Most if not all of my products have a MOQ (minimum quantity order) of 3 pieces so I can afford to do that!

when I first saw Mamoswine I thought the design looked kinda derpy.

YOU made me actually fear this Pokemon by making it look actually fierce and dangerous!

MAMOSWINE SEEMS LIKE A POKEMON THAT COULD BE REALLY SCARY TO ME like the way it’s designed, it does look kinda derpy lol. But its facial structure is pretty much an elephant without its trunk and that could look freaky to me depending on how much you lean into that.

I’ve tried several different iterations for Draugr the alpha mamoswine, my favorite was probably this one that tried to incorporate some bear anatomy into it. I’d like to try to push this a little more, my own style keeps seeping into it and I want to try and push it back into the pokemon artstyle territory a little.

THIS WOULD PROBABLY HAPPEN HAHA shes stuck as a Phione for quite a while, gives her lots of time to get used to the name as she’s sort of forced to respond to it if she wants to interact with Ingo. Ingo will try to start calling Akari by her correct name after he finds out it’s her, but it takes a couple tries for him to get it right at first too and not have “Passenger” slip out lol

Even when she stops verbally responding to it out of habit she still can’t help herself from at least reflexively turning to look at Ingo whenever he says it.

Ingo isn’t wrong when he calls Phione Akari passenger. She is his passenger and I think thats the most frustrating part of everything for her.

also at the end of the day I don’t think she can stay mad at him for long (not only because it won’t help her at all in the situation but despite his wrong guesses he really tries so hard, and is most definitely very hard on himself while looking for "Akari")

That’s literally what she is right now!! Just a little parasite that clings to him so that a wild murkrow doesn’t swoop down and snatch her up lol. She has no other choice than to be his passenger.

I’ve actually written a short fic that goes over this exact concept. The fic goes over Akari’s frustrations with Ingo not realizing it’s her, and likewise Ingo’s frustrations with this pokemon that’s being so difficult and won’t accept his help but won’t leave him alone, and is ultimately getting in the way of him trying to find Akari. But it transitions into Akari seeing that Ingo is really trying hard to find her, and he’s actually worried that Akari went back to her own time without him and he didn’t even get to say goodbye. It ends on a happier note don’t worry lol.

sooo how's the job search going? ik you disappeared off the face of the earth again but honestly needed considering... the entirety of the time I've followed you (since around Valentine's Day,) and you mentioned looking for a new job

Funny you send this ask as I literally put in my two weeks at my current job yesterday (the job id had in February) haha

I’d wanted to for a while but it was difficult because I had so many events I needed to take a lot of time off for coming up, and I felt that would make it difficult for me to be a favorable hire. Well in two weeks it’ll be my last instance of needing time off — I am leaving on family vacation for two weeks!

So I put my two weeks in yesterday. My last day of work will be the day right before leaving for vacation, so I can actually enjoy it. And THEN when I get back I’ll be applying to other jobs.

Among some other things going on, this job I was at sucked a lot of life out of me and I feel like it’s partially why I’m so dead creatively anymore. I’ll spend all day thinking about what I want to do while I work, and when I get home 8-12 hours later I’m dead and just go to sleep to be ready to do it again the next day.

I’m going to be looking for an easier job after this and I hope it’ll give me more time to recharge and do what I want.

So long story short… the job search is just starting haha but I’m looking forward to finding something truely part time (my job was classified as “part time” despite the shifts that went over 8 hours and sometimes would schedule me up 10 days in a row ^^;)

like the other day I had one where you posted something about the phione akari au (which is my favorite btw besides maybe what you've revealed of the iwlyb saga) and last night I had one where you posted one and then decided you didn't like the story and then me and someone else had to try and write the rest to convince you it was still good lmaoooo

HELLO ANON I am both honored that you appreciate my fics so much and want more to the point you dream about them, and also mortified that it’s really been so so SO long since I’ve last posted a fic when I think about it ;0;

tbh I have an unfinished drabble for the Phione Akari AU I still really need to finish (she is swimming around in the shallow coastlands shoreline looking for stuff to collect and bring back to Ingo while he rests and takes a break from the heat — she is also enjoying just how much more mobile and strong and independent she is in the water compared to land) AND I really really need to finish just one more segment in IWLYB before it can be ready to at least START posting it.

It’s been so, so long since I’ve posted any of my writings. It’s not WIP Wednesday but I’ll post snippets from both.

First, Phione Akari AU:

“Here,” Ingo moved to lower his cupped hands to the gritty coastlands sand, though Akari jumped out and down the rest of the way before he could reach it.

With her out of his hands, Ingo settled into the cool sand himself, leaning back against the wall of water-damaged boards of the overturned wreckage that provided him shade.

Today was a rather humid day — the previous days’ rainstorms had left sticky air in their wake. And while it was appreciated that the dark clouds would stop emptying their supply onto the two of them, the humidity was almost worse in the coastlands’ climate.

Well, for one of them, at least. The moisture in the air kept Akari from drying out so quickly, but with the poor man cooking in his multiple layers and black coat under the glaring sun, Ingo was not faring as well.

“Ugh,” Ingo groaned, taking off his hat to wipe at the accumulating sweat on his forehead. “I apologize, it seems our schedule has many more stops than I’d intended today.”

“Phi-phi,” Akari squeaked reassuringly, watching him practically peel his thick coat off of himself and begin rummaging through the supplies in his pack. She wanted him to know that she was appreciative he was managing himself better than he had been the last few days.

Ingo pulled out a flask and popped the cap off, tipping it to down a few big gulps of cold water. He wiped at his mouth after and took in the sight of their shaded shelter briefly, a few fingers of light reaching through into the cool darkness where the hull’s wood had cracked. At the far end of the stretched shelter opposite to Ingo, the edge of the surf lapped gently with its repetitive motions. Reaching out, pulling back. Reaching out, pulling back…

And Akari had shuffled through the sand to meet it, reaching a flipper out to feel the cool ocean water as it pulled across the shaded grains. He knew what she wanted to do.

“I think I should rest my engine here for a while.” Ingo screwed the top onto the bottle and slumped back against his pack. “I should be ready to resume travel shortly, but until then Miss Akari, you may venture into the waters. Just please don’t wander too far from this station, remain near where the wreckage provides shelter, out of the open waters.”

The casual allowance surprised Akari somewhat — he’d never let her do so before, but perhaps he’d taken her seriously when she asked him to trust her a little more, and allow a bit more freedom.

Well, she wasn’t going to waste a moment of this little bit of freedom he’d just given her.

“Phi!” Before he could say anything else, she bid him goodbye with a wave of her flipper and leapt forward into the surf, swimming out further under the protection of the overarching wreckage where the shallow sands began to dip down. She’d already decided she was going to find and bring something back for Ingo — perhaps a basculin spine? Or a qwilfish quill? Or maybe even a Lumineon scale! Perhaps even all three if she was quick about it.

And now, a snippet from I Won’t Leave You Behind. This one is much shorter:

No, this was the behavior of a mother. Or rather, one that was grieving.

Jörmun was not a male like the Pearl Clan had always told him, like he’d always just went along with. Like he’d always just assumed because of that notch in the dorsal fin.

It wasn’t a male marker. It was nothing more than a poorly-healed scar. Jörmun was a female. And she was out of her mind with rage, trying to find who had done this to her ill-fated offspring.

Ingo’s eyes darted between the destroyed eggs, all the tiny fragments scattered across the snow with the yolky contents pooling in the nests and the footprints.

She thought they’d done this to her eggs.

A deep bellowing, more felt then heard, shook the mountainside. It reverberated through Ingo’s chest, an uncomfortable rumbling in his ribcage that shook everything inside with the overwhelming realization that they’d been drowning in a danger that went so much deeper than they’d even realized.

“Akari, we must depart.” Ingo’s eyes scanned the mountainside, searching for that telltale dorsal fin to come cutting through somewhere along the snowy stretch of fog that surrounded them. “Immediately.” He emphasized when she didn’t move. She looked at him with wide eyes, realizing for herself what was happening.

would it be alright with you if I made the phione akari incident canon to my headcanon timeline? i don't plan on fully retelling the story--it would probably be left as a noodle incident-- and my headcanons are just headcanons at the moment, but I do want to write/draw them out at some point and I would credit you of course, but I know some creators just prefer not to have their works sourced from at all so I wanted to ask first. I understand fully if the answer is no!!

I appreciate you asking first, though the idea of a Manaphy heartswapping another character is not an idea I own and definitely feels like it could be a reasonably natural occurrence; tbh it just makes sense for it to possibly happen with a phione in PLA if you’re sticking close to how the game presents things, as those are the only three pokemon (besides your own of course) that are around Manaphy when you’re battling them.

I’d love to see what you do and come up with!!! Thank you so much for asking me though, I appreciate it so much!! :)

To be fair I think Wheatley does deserve it more lol, he’s more of a classic tumblr sexyman than Ingo to me and I love Wheatley a ton.

I just also love seeing Ingo win one of these haha he’s the biggest blorbo to me that I love playing dollhouse with in my head, and in my terms of what qualifies as a tumblr sexyman to me, that’s as close as it’ll get for my preferences haha
