Happy Fall Break
Being a student employee here at WAC is always awesome. For those of you who do not know, I work for both the Admissions Department and the Gym here at WAC. Working at the gym is awesome because you get to know the staff and you feel right at home when you come to workout or use the facility. Some on-campus jobs even still run during fall break. Even though there are no classes several things are still active. So, if you find yourself like me, staying in the area during fall break. It is very easy to pick up extra hours and make a little extra money on your next paycheck.聽
If you have a chance you should check our awesome gym facilities here at WAC:聽https://www.washcoll.edu/about/campus/johnson-fitness-center/

Senior Thesis
As of a week ago my senior thesis is done and complete. I had to take a break from blogging to focus on my writing. Thesis takes up a large amount of time your senior year and since it is a major contributing factor passing college to graduate I figured it was smartest to focus on that. But I am glad to be back blogging... so keep an eye out for some new post coming this week.聽

Maryland Crazy Weather
Well as you may know WAC is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. But what you may not know is that we get crazy mixes of weather throughout any season. It is currently spring break here and we had a snow storm here at WAC on Monday/ Tuesday. The crazy thing about it is that it was 45/50 on Sunday聽and by Tuesday it was 20. By the end of the day on Tuesday, there was no snow in sight, almost like there was no snow storm at all. To make it worse it was 75 two weekends ago. If you attend聽WAC this is just something聽you have to look forward to but it is always keeping you on your toes.聽

Spring Break
Spring break is here and while most people go away for spring break or go home, I am at school still working in the gym to make a little extra money to save away. Most students will miss campus, but I am still here enjoying it and getting to see our amazing campus in the snow. If anyone has any questions about the Fitness Center here at WAC or about Fitness classes I will happily answer any questions you have.

WAC for Me
I believe WAC was a great choice for me because I can not picture myself going anywhere else. I have made friends here that I will have fro the rest of my life. The Biology department has offered me so much help and has set me up with connections that I could not have done any place else. My biggest tip for when choosing a college to attend is to make sure it feels like home. And for me, the beautiful scenery聽on the eastern shore is what made me feel at home. Take a look for yourself, maybe it will feel like home to you too.聽

My thesis Advisor
My thesis is probably one of my favorite professors at WAC. His name is Dr. Krochmal and is a biology professor here. He teaches general Biology, Endocrinology, Anatomy, and Physiology. The reason why I like him so much is because no matter what class of his that you take it is extremely interesting and energetic. Somehow he finds a way to cheer up the class and made learning fun while making jokes and never really getting off topic. If you ever get the chance to take him I highly recommend it.聽

Favorite Club at WAC: WCET
For those of you who are new to following my blog, My favorite club here at WAC is the Washington College Equestrian Team (WCET). This is a club sports team at WAC of which I am the Vice President and treasure. This is an amazing club that gets where we get to spend some of our free time riding horses and showing them. We accept anyone to join, no matter what level of experience you have. Here is our 2016-2017 Club/Team Picture

Scholarship Advice
I do not know much about scholarships but I do know about how hard you have to work to get them. Not only are they hard to obtain they are also hard to keep. Most scholarships have a 3.0 min GPA requirement. Let's face it, that is extremely hard to keep while in college because classes are much harder than they were in high school. All I can say is keep this in mind and study as much as possibly and do your hardest to keep your grades up and as long as you know you are doing the best you possibly can, you will succeed.聽

Classes fro Spring 2017
Wow, this semester has been killing me so far. Taking genetics and writing my thesis at the same time is proving itself to be very complicated. At first, I thought it was going to be impossible but somehow I am surviving and I have to thank my friend Angela for that. She has been my rock this semester, helping me get through everything and dealing with the stress. Senior year is an emotional time, and it is hard to think that the soon those friends your spent all four years with will not be with you every day.聽

Chestertown - What is there not to love
Chestertown is an amazing place, and I could not imagine attending college in any other town. Not only is it close to the water, it is a short distance from everything but still far enough away from the hustle and bustle聽of a major city. Living in Chestertown聽you can walk from campus to town or the grocery store. I lived here this past summer and you would not believe how active the town is, even more than when college is in session. The views of boats on the water, people walking around enjoying the sites and sun. Take a look at this picture and just maybe you can see what I'm talking about.聽

Winter Break is Over
Even though winter break has been over and I was here the whole time, my friends were not here. You never truly realize how much time you spend with your friends until they are not around. Since I am on the riding team here at WAC the majority of my friends are on the riding team. Take a look at this picture of my team and I that was featured in a local newspaper.聽

Memories
Wow, I keep forgetting this is part one of my senior year and wow has this semester zoomed by. It is that time in the semester where most of us find ourselves looking back at the semester remembering聽everything we have done, and wondering how it felt like yesterday but it was actually 3 months ago. There are so many memories I have of this semester and I think my favorite has to be showing on the equestrian team with my teammates. It is always a good time and a bonding experience, especially since we travel far to go to a horse show. Take a look at a few pictures of my teammates and I haveing some fun.
