#1/24Scale How about adding a narrow gauge railway to your 1/2 scale world ?

There were plantation or estate railways around the world that ran on 15-inch, 18-inch, or 24-inch gauge railways. These estate railways were used on farms, quarries, peat bogs, and more. Do a search for ‘Sir Arthur Heywood’ and read up on his 15-gauge estate railway.

The photos above are of my Gn15 gauge project. Gn15 is 1/24th scale running on HO gauge tracks. The trucks are Wiseman’s On30 log car trucks, and the rest is laser cut from basswood.

Gn15 freelanced Cane Car.

Building a little boxcar for the SM32 garden railway layout. This boxcar was inspired by a grainy photo of a little boxcar in use on one of the Mexican narrow gauge. The boxcar is mostly laser cut Basswood with dollhouse hinges, and link ‘n pin couplers from Ozark Miniatures.

Bought a ER-16 collect chuck, made a custom back plate for the Unimat. The collet chuck below is a ER-32 that I use with the Atlas 12”. Quite a difference between the ER-32 and the ER-16 collets.
