I’ve been looking at this for so long (cause I got the fast pass) trying to figure out what the “pop!” was for and my dumbass finally realized it was Posideon’s ears changing from normal ears to gill things

𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗯𝗲  𝗻𝗼𝘄  𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁  𝘁𝗵𝗲  𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲  𝘁𝗼  𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻,  given  the  terrible  situation  everyone  was  currently  in,  but  poseidon   missed   so  many  things.  he  missed stepping  into  warm  sand,  taking  naps  outside  in  the  sun,  the  warmth  of  the  sun  against  his  face   &   body.  he  definitely  was  not  a  fan  of  their  current  environment. he  found  himself  drawn  to  the  water,  but  how  could  he  enjoy  it  when  everything  around  them  was  so   ...    depressing   ?  “  you  know  what  i  miss  the  most,  “  poseidon  began.  “   the  sun.  you  never  really  appreciate  the  things  you  have  until  they’re  completely  gone.  “

if you couldn’t see the darkness lurking behind josie’s eyes then you had to be oblivious to everything . it was obvious and not something you could easily miss . the person standing there was josie but she was internally fighting the darker side that wanted to take control of her  &  her body . fingers brush loose waves out of her face , showing the dark veins on her face  &  neck .  “  i hope you’re dealing okay with ... all of this ,   “  she makes hand motions to everything around them . josie always tried to be civil with her ex-girlfriend , despite how badly the two of them ended .  “  i nearly got attack by one of those hellhounds the other day ... it was like ... some weird nightmare come to life .  “
