Production cels from Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988). When I saw this as a kid, that grand finale with all those different characters together, I thought it was the greatest thing ever shown on the silver screen. It had to be.
(The quality of that last image is pretty poor, but I wanted to include it anyway.)

Vintage art by Earl Norem of The Big Three of 1980s toylines.
Love the Transformers one, which I hadn’t seen before—heck, love all of them.

Statler and Waldorf’s appearance in MUPPET BABIES (1984), and two painted backgrounds from the show (that “Death Tomato” corridor looks familiar…). Though I had the right age then, I never really liked Muppet Babies honestly. It seemed a little pointless to me. But it was a big hit, so what did I know.

“And they kissed each other during summer.” Vintage German postcard. There’s no info on it, so your guess is as good as mine—I just had to post this because of the stag beetle crawling up on them.

Pocket Super Heroes by Mego. 1979/1980.
I was slightly too young for these, but they really represent the time. Back then, superheroes were powerful boy scouts in colorful costumes and not so much brooding badasses or tortured souls. Toys mostly centered on the big four: Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Hulk.
