Well This is interesting... if WWX had no connection here with Anyone or had bonds of somesort with LWJ, then he would be the Yiling Patriarch and no one could interfere with his persuit of Justice. like He's Batman or Something.

Here tonight thinking about all the irresponsible parent CSSR/WCZ aus we've had lately. However, it doesn't seem like sect politics is necessarily safer, or that sect parents have a better casualty ratio? So let's think of an au where our dynamic duo move back to Lotus Pier after their son is born for safety. This inflames Madame Yu (I hc in the original timeline they left so they wouldn't stress their friend's marriage) and means that the WWX is much less close to JC and JYL. (1/2).

He might even be at odds with JC and Madam Yu since his mom is still alive and it's incredibly insulting to imply she cheated on her husband. In this au CSSR/WCZ live a little longer, but they still die in the first wave of Wen sect aggressions, maybe assassinated on a nighthunt to prevent YMJ from having a link to Baoshan Sanren. Everyone suspects it was the Wens but WWX is prevented from investigating. WWX goes on a quest to get proof, but in the end realizes the cultivation world (2/3).

is corrupt and that no one will take on the Wens to save dead heroes, especially ones who broke up JFM's marriage. At this realization WWX decides to dedicate his life towards dispensing justice on behalf of spirits that the sects won't help, starting with creating Empathy and other demonic cultivation techniques. He's based in Yiling, so people start calling him.. Yiling Laozu. (3/3).

Just Imagine JL spills out the Truth and ruin Both JYL and JZX, telling them that they are not Good Parents and compares them to WWX, at least WWX is a better Parent than both JYL and JZX combined and LWJ too he is a Good father than JZX. I Hope Meng Yao is Good on This one, and prove that JYL is not a kind Person that Everyone think she was.

On the addition of the lastest "Manipulative JYL" post. What if, JL just has enough of his parents brushing off his problems, and he just runs away from Koi Tower, and he either ends up in Lotus Pier or in Yiling.

With Lotus Pier, JC is helpless to actually do anything if JYL and JZX comes knocking for their son since of the Jin's political power, so JL is just stuck in the same cycle of getting bullied, and not getting any help from his family.

Or, if he ends up in Yiling (with stories of his shishu, WWX from JYL), and gets taken in temporarily by WWX and the Wens. Then the Jins uses this as a reason to attack the Burial Mounds (claiming it to be a matter of kidnapping), and they amass a sizable army from different sects. Then, after the siege, after the Wens and WWX are dead, They still can't find JL, so the Jin spreads rumors that WWX used JL in some kind of ritual. In reality, though, JL and Wen Yuan were actually hiding away to avoid the fighting, and they're later found by LWJ and brought to the CR. LWJ recognizes JL, but listens to him, and doesn't send JL back to Koi Tower. So JL has to live with all of these rumors that slander WWX while keeping up his false identity as a Lan.

I wonder What's going to Happen if WWX finds out what LXC did.

An au where lwj left the lan clan and snaps at lxc for giving lsz to the jins to be punished. Shortly after lwj found lsz, jqy visited the lan clan. Jgs had found out about the last living wen and demanded that he be punished. Jqy was sent for this mission and lxc doesn't want him to suffer the consequences of coming back with failure. So he gave lsz, a child at that time, to be punished. After lwj woke up and found ot aboit that he lashes out. Saying he will left the clan who would sentence a -

Au where lwj left the clan continue. A child to death, because of the surname he bears. He says, would lxc call him the scourge of the world, enemy of the cultivators pike jwy had done to wwx? Would lxc lock him up, like they did to their mother to conceal the truth? To keep him in check? Would he be whipped again? The hypocritical lan sect, with a saying of keeping justice yet willing to bend to those in power. The civilians sides with lwj, no child deserves that. His reputation helps.

ohhh, for the one where MXY returns (maybe 'temporary transaction AU' if we need a tag?): Who will find them? It looks like a murder suicide. Lan Xichen or Lan Yuan? Since secretlyevil! is popular this week, I propose secretly evil mxy finds a ritual for temporary possession expecting that WWX will do his thing and he’ll wake up in a year as the ruler of the cultivation world. Instead he wakes up in the jingshisleeping next to hanguang-jun. Your bet if he confesses or he tries to take over wwx’s postcanon life…

Mo Xuanyu wasn't expecting to wake up next to one of the most beautiful men in the world. He had sort of been expecting two or three beautiful women given all the rumors of Wei Wuxian before he died. He was by no means complaining of course!

A quick look around the room led to real disappointment though. He didn't know where he was, but the early morning light made it obvious that this was not the empire he had been expecting. A part of him had thought the Yilling Patriarch would take over Koi Towers since it was by far the most luxurious city in the known world.

Still, it was better then that thrice damned shed.

Now all Mo Xuanyu had to do was continue to play the part. He had no doubt that Wei Wuxian had built up an army for him to command. He just had to make sure no one got close enough to begin doubting his power. Hopefully Wei Wuxian didn't have a habit of showing off...

He began to climb out of bed, eager to see what the Yilling Patriarch had built for himself in the past year but was stopped by a strong arm around his waist.

Really though- he had to commend the Yilling Patriarch for his excellent taste in men! Hangung-Jun as a lover! That alone was worth losing his body for a year.

"Wei Ying," Lan Wangji said with a sleep slurred voice.

Mo Xuanyu didn't really think much of interacting with Hangung-Jun. The other man would at most be a concubine who no one would listen to if he noticed Wei Wuxian acting strangely. As tempting as the older man was, Mo Xuanyu was too excited to see his new empire to stay in bed longer.

So he scoffed and removed Lan Wangji's arm from his waist and said "Don't be so clingy, Hangung-Jun. I have better things to do."

The way Hangung-Jun's eye snapped open and locked on him made him realize that he had just made a mistake.

I Can't help but root for the saying "An Enemy of my Enemy is a (Somewhat but not really) Friend." Between Jiggy and WWX if they want to get away from these Psycho Lans.

1/2 Dark Lans AU where the Lan Sect are known for rehabilitating criminals, especially cultivators walking the crucked path. However, their methods involve breaking the subject mentally and physically little by little, aided by a magical compulsion, until nothing else is left but what Lans deem acceptable and proper. Demonic cultivators and murders talk in hushed whispers that it's better to be executed rather than taken to Gusu.

2/2 Lans don't see this as cruelty. It's all for criminal's own good after all, not a punishment but love through discipline. The greatest accomplishment for a Lan is to marry the evil-doer and aid them on the new path. That's what happened to Madam Lan. What LWJ planned for WWX but failed him in the end. Now that gods gave him a second chance he is determined to save WWX, no matter how much WWX kicks and screams. When JGY's crimes come to light, LXC in turn will gladly, lovingly help him back.

Ah~! The Smell of Pure Regret (of JC & JYL) and Hatred (in LWJ & A-YUAN) in the Morning... I wonder how they will deal with Dark!LWJ & Dark!A-Yuan... I can Just Guess A-Yuan would hate The Jiangs and Jins, and when he meets A-Ling... Well... it won't be a Good Day for him. and when the truth comes out... it won't be Pretty for Everyone especially for JC & JYL.

Just saw some MDZS fan art on Twitter about JYL not being able to forgive WWX for killing JZX and it killed me, seeing those expressions so here’s what WWX does next: he uses a modified Sacrifice summon right then and there in front of JYL and brings her husband back. This modified version basically sacrifices his own life to revive JZX who wakes up right there in his own coffin, confused as hell.

Oh my god I saw that on my twitter a few days ago and it’s just gorgeous! The artist did an incredible job capturing WWXs guilt and desperation to be forgiven and JYLs coldness and contempt and almost indifference to him. It gave me flashbacks to the JYL kills WWX au.

Manipulative Madam Jiang AU: WWX knows he can't go charging in without proof, he's already on thin ice with JC as is without accusing his wife of being emotionally abusive, so he goes to the disciples to talk to them about Madam Jiang and what they know about her. And oh boy, have they painted quite the picture: tantrums, bullying, even outright lying and forcing JC to spend time with her and no one else even in the middle of night hunts! They could never prove anything, not about the wife of a major sect leader, but God, is there a lot of resentment in there about how terrible she makes JC feel and even act whenever she gets into his head. However, other than all of that, she's an amazing wife and madam of the sect whenever JC has to be away and that's why it's so hard to get rid of her, because JC doesn't think he deserves better than a wife who can switch between "perfect" and "nastier than his mother ever could be" at a drop of a hat

Lan Wangji’s Action will be his Ultimate Downfall, Just imagine Wei WuXian or Teen A-Yuan goes to Burial Mound and performed Inquiry... Either by the Souls of the Fallen Wens or By Wen Ning, Wei WuXian and/or A-Yuan would find out the Truth. One Wei Ying and/Or A-Yuan finds out the Truth, There will be Fall-Out between WWX with A-Yuan and Lan Wangji which will Result in another Betrayal or Return of the Yiling Patriarch WWX only Much Worse.

I'm not sure if there's been a similar ask before. Before everything with the ambush and the siege, LWJ decided that he would save WWX, no matter the cost. He can see the other sects getting anxious about him, and knows it's only a matter of time before they attack. He also knows WWX will never abandon the Wens. So he decides that if there were no Wens. There wouldn't be a problem. How he does it is up to the imagination. Maybe he distracts WWX in the town, after anonymously telling JGS how to get into the Burial Mounds, or maybe instead of JGS, LXC agrees to help his brother with his love. Or maybe LWJ does it himself, sneaking in in the dead of night. Maybe he lets A-Yuan live, maybe he doesn't want to risk WWX refusing to go with LWJ on the child's behalf. Regardless, LWJ is the one that's there, to comfort WWX. He eventually convinces him to return to Gusu, they marry, with WWX never knowing that the one he loves and who provided him comfort during his time of grief is the one who murdered his Wen family.

So focusing on WWX doesn’t work. However he was not the only key player in the end. LXC looks at his brother.

It’s easier than he thought to manipulate A-Zhan. It’s nearly laughably simple to turn his determination and stubbornness against him when he is most vulnerable; when they had just lost contact with their mother. To say the Madam Lan didn’t die because she was locked away but because she was let out and the world hurt her … A-Zhan’s fear of the outside is quick to take root. He loved his mother, and that love would cloud his judgment especially when he is a child. So to convince him to lock himself away is not hard in the slightest. Now with Lan Zhan safe and willingly confined it’s time to fix the rest of the world.

Lan Xichen had thought everything would be fine when it came the the Wens attack if the Cloud Recesses. He had insisted that their barriers be strengthened twice over and knew from before that their mothers home had been too far away to be touched by the fire. He had ran off with the sects sacred books and scrolls assured that nothing bad would happen to him little brother.

He hadn't planned on his uncle rushing to Lan Wangji's side to force him to evacuate. He hadn't planned on Lan Qiren being followed. How could he have planned that? And Wangji, poor Wangji, had never been trained to fight. Why would he need to learn that when he never left their mothers home?

Lan Xichen had been so careful. He had planned everything. He had been so certain that Lan Wangji would live a long life, safe and hidden away from the world.

But it's fine. He still knows the ritual. He will do better next time.

1/? After a few years Shizui is finally ready to build a relationship with the omega who carried him, Jiang Cheng. Watching the sect leader with Jin Ling and his own children made him realise that Jiang Cheng was a good person, who loved with his entire heart and would sacrifice anything and everything for his family. Except Jiang Cheng wants nothing to do with him. Any time he looks at Shizui, he sees the man who assaulted him and destroyed his sect, he just can't love Shizui. And he tried.

2/2 When Shizui was first born, JC tried to bond with him, but he just couldn't do it. All he could see was WC. Add in Shizui's treatment of him over the years due to LWJ's heavily biased views of JC and you don't the grounds for a family relationship. So he turns Shizui away, concentrating on loving the children and family he has with the alpha he loves, LXC. Shizui can't do anything except return to the Lans, feeling like he's missing something important

This really piqued my interest, once I get out of the Hospital, Imma gonna make a fic.

After resurrection WWX doesn't go to Dafan Mountain, so LWJ doesn't recognize him and take him back to Gusu. The Juniors still survive, but in the meantime WWX has met this rogue cultivator and started traveling with him. Eventually, the two fall in love and, thanks to NHS's plans, they get involved in the investigation about NMJ's arm. LWJ recongnises WWX and, while the three of them work together, he tries to win him back in vain.

Honestly with how dense WWX is about love either of them have a fair change until one of them dramatically confesses because WWX has feelings for both but thinks he isnt worthy of love until proven otherwise. Sadly LWJ will probably lose that race.
