11.  justice  :  does your muse find it easy to be impartial in emotional situations ?

Typically no. Jade feels strongly and she is more opionated than plenty of people would think. And if she has a stance in an argument, she will defend it. However, she is better at listening before 'taking a side' when she does not have much of a . . . personal investment in the situation. She is impartial and fair when it comes to discussions where both sides are equally valid---as long as both sides are aligned with her personal sense of morals.

17.  the star  :  what does your muse take inner comfort in knowing ? what guides your muse ?

Now, it is a very important aspect in her portrayal that she, due to trusting the wrong people (her guildmaster, her husband, others), messed up her initial chance at becoming a 'proper career mage'. She wasted years on a pursuit that did not make her really happy (though it made her rich), that kept her clawless. That is obviously a very frustrating fact for her. However, as upsetting as this is for her, there is a light amidst the dark---Jade believes in second attempts. Sometimes third and fourth ones, too. And she does not think that she is too old to turn things around and improve her life. So what she takes comfort in is her belief that it is not too late.

a collection of my r.aven tail headcanons that i finally need to put Out Into The World

i. formed in X774, less than five years after ivan and rabastan were excommunicated from fairy tail. ivan was not with rab in that time.

ii. yes, it's there to be against fairy tail. however, it is also accidentally home to a lot of misplaced and normally ostracized people. a guild of people who were ostracized as peers, has magical abilities and wants a place to earn money and sleep. thats how you get people like nullpudding, who looks part blowfish but isnt a terrible person and then... kurohebi...

iii. its not an obligation to hate fairy tail to join raven tail. its just that upper management has quite the bone to pick with the GM of fairy tail. but in canon, we have seen some shady things from makarov so its not a stretch to say people affected by fairy tail and their decisions in a bad way tend to gather at raven tail.

iv. when they were a ~dark guild~, it was mostly that they weren't technically legal. they still operated like a normal guild does. they weren't out attacking people for money or anything. in fact, the towns around them often went to them because they knew they could trust the mages in raven tail to help them out. it wasn't always legal but none of it was actively harmful to entire communities. it's a big part of the reason why they weren't on such a high priority list for the council and how they were able to become legal when ivan finally did the paperwork. when he does that is dependent if its an au or not but in more closely related canon aus, it happens in X790.

v. speaking of the towns around them: there are three, as seen on the map below and where they are re: raven tail's location.

vi. raven tail's location, up until they become legal is quite hard to track. ivan did this for obvious reasons. the reason being is that there are several illusioned raven tails around fiore for some time, set up by ivan. the one gajeel was at was once such illusion. it is harder to keep them up, but ivan switches where he puts them and tends to just hang out for a day in those areas. when gajeel found him, it was in such a place. before, in order to even see the Real raven tail, you needed the stamp. now, you still need the stamp to enter ivan's office and the private room area of the guild; but you can always see it. due to some guild regulations ew.

vi. during the war, raven tail took it upon themselves to help the evacuation of the three nearby settlements. they were able to move most of the citizens to their mountain base, safe away from a lot of the fighting. however, people were still lost due to the magnitude of alvarez's invasion. in a way, they benefited from the invasion being across the country. until, of course, universe one.

vii. there are flocks of ravens and crows around raven tail. they're sort of guild pets in a way that everyone, but mostly ivan takes care. the oldest two follow ivan just about anywhere if hes lets them and seem to have an uncanny healing abilities. ivan has yet to publicly comment on that.

viii. when it comes to sorcerer weekly, ivan tends to let his mages do what they want as long as they're not making fools of themselves. that's all he asks for. i'd say he's more or less open to interviews because he thinks thats a great way to get under makarov's skin.

Oh boy, oh boy. I think the first step would be to decide that her marriage is some kind of scam or charade? Going off conspiracy theories real people have about real celebrities, it would probably be 'decided' that either she or her husband are the other spouse's beard. Which of course is problematic in the sense that it glosses over the very real issues with that relationship. Once her marriage is out of the way, the next 'problem' would be her age so she would either be shipped with older cast members---Gildarts and Ivan come to mind---or she would be the hot childless MILF that people drool over while twisting her character into something that would date someone ten years (or more) her junior. Personally? Both is unappealing for me.

What plot points would change due to the inclusion of your character in canon?

Hilariously, when I come up with OCs, I like to have them exist away from the main plot so that they do not change anything while still existing in the world and having to deal with it. However, if she was canon, she would probably show up in chapters related to the Weekly Sorcerer and the modelling industry as well as in mentions of the infamous Wizard I'd Like To Be My Girlfriend ranking. Other appearances would possibly be in relation to moments when almost the entire cast is in one location.

A pale hand came to rest on the book and Jade tilted her head as she regarded the younger woman, an easy smile finding its way to her face. It was almost funny in a tragic way how much easier it was to smile when no one was making her. What was not as easy was to work out what social protocol would apply here. Typically, outside of a guild context, it was the older person who was in the position to offer first name basis. Or the higher-ranking person. And while Jade was certain that she was older, she also knew that Ms Claramond was the daughter of the guild master which really complicated things.

Twisting a strand of her hair around her finger, she smiled a little brighter. '' That is very nice of you, '' she said as she pushed the book off the table and into her bag. '' If you'd like, you can sit down so we can . . . chat? ''

there was a very hidden nervousness that went into being a guildmate with THE rosa lawrence. but then again, that was no longer her name and zilla would do her best and upmost to refer to her properly as well as equally, as she would any other guild member. after all, she was a human being just like zilla herself.

and one thing zilla liked to do with new guild members was at least formally introduce herself to them when she got the chance. it both let her attempt to be social (to ivan's pleasure) and also made raven tail feel more welcoming. some friendships had bloomed thanks to it. others did not do much more than nod and introduce them back before zilla sunk back into her shadow and away — she knew when she was wanted.
