nathan ford kinda one of the craziest characters of all time. like hes a sad middle aged catholic washed up divorcee who worked in insurance and has a drinking problem right? theres a very specific image created by that description. but then you learn like a little more about him and its like woah buddy! like ok so yeah so hes all that but also hes terrifyingly pistol whip smart hes deeply grief stricken. hes the son of a mobster. hes been in a psychosexual situationship with a thief who shot him for like a decade. he treats people like a chess match. HE GAVE A GUY A NOSEBLEED WITH THE POWER OF HIS MIND. and hes got all this going on whilst hes running Righteous Revenge AnonymousTM and garnering a reputation as the leader of one of the most dangerous crews in the world. genuinly one of the most psychologically fascinating charactees of all time ever.

Bank Shot Job is underrated. Dont be an idiot Hardison, Sophie was still in there. Eliot ready to storm the bank if Nate asked him to. Robbing a bank that's already being robbed. Meeting FBI agents Mcsweeten and Taggert Sometimes the bad guys are the only good guys you get. We'd be the cavalry. Citizens deciding to collectively lie without needing to be told bc fuck that Creep.

This is basically a thesis statement of the show. We care about helping people, especially the ones driven into situations that they should've been able to ask for help in. We won't leave each other behind. We can figure this out, on the fly, by depending on each other.

We live in the dumbest, lamest cyberpunk dystopia possible.

So LA has been — and continues to — protest against ICE. These protests haven’t gotten any smaller or lost any momentum, but social media wasn’t reflecting it.

TikTok users, realizing that the platform/other social media are censoring/deleting/shadowbanning these protest videos, decided to find a workaround.

They’re calling it the LA Music Festival. Ice detention centers and other protest locations are “stages.” The hottest band is Rage Against the Machine. “Here’s what gear you should be bringing to stay safe at the LA Music Festival.”

And it fucking worked.

TikTok has become a proving ground for a lot of new music, meaning lots of labels and organizations have lucrative deals with TikTok to promote their new artists and music festivals. So they absolutely cannot censor the words “music festival” or train the algorithm to ignore it, or they risk endangering that very important revenue.

So now protest videos are flooding feeds again, but it’s the LA 24/7 Music Festival. Truly an incredible timeline we’ve landed in.

Rewatched Poe Party for it's 9th anniversary (whoa almost 10) and something I love is that there's like a few things that would make very little sense if it was any other group of characters but with the characters in Poe Party it works so well. Like with how much they split up, that's a problem in a lot of murder mysteries where at a certain point you go "why are you still splitting up", but in Poe Party I fully believe these idiots (/affectionate) would just keep doing that. There's like other things but just yeah Poe Party <3 the writing is just so gosh darn brilliant and the characters are all so very silly and I love it so much
