I absolutely love stories like this! Me & my mom used to be regulars at our local Wendy's for several months,maybe a year or more,I don't remember,& it eventually got to the point where when we'd go the drive thru,if the ladies we knew were on duty,they'd say our order before we did & would be surprised if we changed anything. I always got the 10-piece nugget & large fry,& if I happened to a baked potato or something else they'd be a little surprised but not shook. Unfortunately the 3 or 4 main ladies that we really knew eventually left a few years ago & it's been doing downhill there since. The same thing happened with me & my grandpa at our local Enzo's pizza,cause we would go there every week for dinner before going to our Bible study group,& the staff quickly got to know us & treat us like family,& they were all super awesome! And in both cases,if one of us were there but not the other,like Mom going to Wendy's without me or I go to Enzo's without Grandpa,they'd be worried & ask "Where's the other one? Are they ok? Is something going on?" And then we'd have to reassure them that things are fine. Even after Grandpa passed a few years ago,when I go into Enzo's they still remember me & are just as friendly. And the Wendy's thing would add to a running joke between me & Mom that she couldn't go anywhere without me,whether it's a food place,the doctor or even the farmer's market,if I wasn't with her,everyone would ask, "Where's your son? Is he ok? Why isn't he with you? We were looking forward to seeing him." Which still continues in some spots to this day.

i see posts here about how people are so mortified when they are acknowledged as being a regular customer somewhere that they never return. cowards. the employees at taco bell treat me like a celebrity. like royalty. i am their strange little pet customer who gets traded along as staff comes and goes. they know my car before i even speak in the drive-thru speaker. today i was 2 hours late and she ran over and squealed that she "thought i'd left them!" and that she "made my order with extra love!" and you what, she did
