Can Aaron and Robert just sit together, watch a cosy movie and drink hot chocolate after all this.
In a space where they feel comfortable and safe.
Thanks.

Is there a significance to the picture that Paddy and Robert were reflected in in this scene at Vic's house? Or is it just creepy? I can't make out what the picture is.

Is there a particular reason Paddy can't call or text Aaron to check in, as his when-it-suits dad?

I hope Robert realises Aaron has been drugged on Monday and can use this as part his defence next week, telling the police to do a drugs test on Aaron if he is in hospital. Also hope Aaron manages to convey to Robert that John has Mack.
I’m fully refusing to believe the framing will work for long, there is so much evidence against John if the police just start looking into it even the tiniest bit.

(The fact that heavily drugged Aaron NOW is putting the pieces together more than the previous six months just shows how brain dead they've had to make the character.)

okay okay I’m speaking it into the universe to make it so, but I’d LOVE if we had everything coming to a head next week: the gorge, the framing, mack and aaron’s survival, the angst etc, only for the week to end with John as a suspect (finally!) but when the police go to make their arrest, he’s done a runner….!
& then we can have the tension of knowing John’s out there until there’s a final Cameron-esque village showdown, so all of the characters that have been directly messed with as a result of John’s batshittery murder-boy gaslighting can see it first hand and maybe get the chance to yell at him if not kick him :) and hey if robert gets whumped in the process and aaron is both worried and protective then I will not certainly not complain

I’m really surprised John didn’t find a way to lock him in that room.
At least John is still disappearing regularly so hopefully he’s still going to see Mack.

I can't believe he's drugging him more after he had a seizure. Going full evil.

I genuinely thought he was going to add "Robert" at the end and send John even more batshit!
aaron finally saying i love you to john at the end of the episode after john did the most horrible things to hear it... also the cinematography *chef's kiss*

Come on Paddy, it's not like gay medics whose husbands used to be with their brother are common!

Aaron, if the whisky smells so bad, why are you drinking more of it, sweetie?

I was a little sceptical at how easily John cloned Mack’s voice so I Googled it and came up with this terrifying answer:

Also, if Aaron kissed him today, it would have broken down his defences even more and make it even less believable that he would return to the hell cottage and John. The more often he kisses Robert the less reason there is to continue to put up any pretence that his relationship with John is working. The conversation was just enough to prompt him to leave Mack the voicemail but not enough to make him admit to anyone else that John is a mistake.
I needed a kiss today. It was right there. The moment was electric. Why didn’t they do it?
I get it. We all wanted one. But honestly, I understand why they didn't go there today. Aaron's nowhere near ready. Truthfully, neither is Robert. He's just laser focused on it to avoid having to deal with his own issues. He has a breakdown barreling towards him. He's attempting to avoid dealing with it by trying to cling to Aaron. They're not ready yet. It was way more important today to get Aaron's honest feelings about his relationship with John. And it was imperative that they made that a separate issue from his feelings for Robert. Aaron had doubts he willingly ignored long before Robert showed up. His issues with John didn't start with the return of Robert. They started on day one, and Aaron ignored them or brushed them off each and every time. He must now admit that and face the very real consequences of his decision to repeatedly ignore every obvious red flag.
I also think the tension of not kissing but clearly wanting to kiss worked better for the scene anyway. The electricity was palpable. They both looked at each other's mouths, they both wanted it. And I'm obsessed with the parallel to their first kiss it created. Longing is good for them. They do it really well. Hopefully, they'll be sharing more consistent screen time soon. Hopefully, by then, Aaron can at least allow himself to be kinder to Robert. At this point, I will call that a victory. Just let them share gentle space after all of this.
