Feels for Thought.
The mind can be so convincing at times that it makes it hard to make a decision. Before you have the chance to really think about how something made you feel and why, the subconscious mind seems to make that decision for you. In other words, it can determine initial reactions. Sometimes I feel too optimistic. Sometimes I think others aren’t optimistic enough. Sometimes it makes me insecure. Realistically, it feels like I think too much. I find it interesting how we can spiral down a negative thought tunnel so quickly, and not even realize the steps that got us there. Somehow, the feeling of being “fed-up” starts feeling normal, until you recognize you aren’t you again. You don’t know what happen or how you got that way to begin with, so you start digging for answers. As you try to remember the last time something went exceptionally well for you, you end up thinking up all of the reasons why things haven’t happened yet. It can be easy to convince yourself that you’re the reason you haven’t reached your goals, and any other reason feels like an excuse. It’s a very personal and invisible process that one needs to be mindful to. Analyze your mood throughout each day, and designate time to put yourself in the mood you desire to be in. Say it out loud to someone, yourself, or social media. Feed back will assure you the mood you desire to be in is good for you, acting as reinforcement. The process can go both ways. The power to stay motivated and dedicated to yourself can be hard to find at times when the negative weighs in heavy. At that time is when you equate the good with the bad in the best way you can. Stay as focused, and as rational as possible to see it through. Give yourself time. Realize every day is a new day, and every moment is a gift. Give yourself the gift of new opportunity. You’ll be amazed at what you forgot you knew.

Quote
When we meet someone and fall in love, we have a sense that the whole universe is on our side. And yet if something goes wrong, there is nothing left! How is it possible for the beauty that was there only minutes before to vanish so quickly? Life moves very fast. It rushes from heaven to hell in a matter of seconds.
Paulo Coelho, Eleven Minutes (via books-n-quotes)

“I loved to sleep with the window open. Rainy nights were the best of all: I would open the window and put my head on the pillow and close my eyes and feel the wind on my face and listen to the trees sway and creak.” - Neil Gaiman (via quotemadness)

“I think perhaps love comes from finding someone you feel utterly comfortable with, someone who makes you comfortable with yourself. It’s like…finding yourself, or maybe it’s like finding the other part of yourself.” - Candice Proctor

Leonardo Da Vinci said, “every painter should begin with a wash of black on their canvas, because everything in nature is dark except for where it’s exposed by light.”
