It all started when I accidentally stumbled upon Damon’s early concept art—he was wearing earrings. In that moment, it felt like I was struck by lightning. The sheer sensuality of it was overwhelming, so intense that I couldn’t help but lament: how could such a flavorful design choice be discarded? Still reeling from Damon’s impact, I then came across Lana’s early design—she was wearing earrings too! A wave of indescribable fate washed over me. It felt as if there had always been some hidden, long-forgotten resonance between these two characters, a secret echo lost in the depths of the design team’s files. As I calmed down, another thought hit me—wasn’t Angel always wearing earrings from the start? My emotions skyrocketed. I ended up digging through every character’s early designs and studied them thoroughly. And then, I came to a ridiculous conclusion: Could it be that… everyone else lost to Angel in the final battle for the “Right to Wear Earrings”?!

How do you think Hannibal Roy Bean got so good at impressions? He even pulls off people like Clay Bailey, or little old ladies named Helen, who are just his total opposite.

It's hard to explain this without delving into his origins too much (bc that's spoilers territory for my fic), but to put it bluntly: putting up facades and impressions was the only way he knew how to get the things he wanted.
