In terms of the Instagram pages, I refer to this food campaign which set up an instagram page as well. It includes the pictures of merchandises and information pages. I include the similiar content in mine one.

I employ some books recomendations in the instagram’s pages. It is a good idea to relate to the reading campaign rather than just put some images on it.

Alteration of notebook

I have altered the sketches of the notebook couple of times. To make sure the balance between the back cover and the front cover.

I make three version of notebooks which same as the posters.

Notebook

The structure of notebook is suitable to use the image I used before, a reading pose. It is one of the insta pages, I put the same design in notebook to connect them together.

1. Notebook

Notebook is one of then protential merchandises for the reading campaign. For those people who have the habit of taking notes when they are reading. The shape of notebook is suitable for the design system that easy to deasign for it.

2. Sticker

Sticker is a easy carrying and convenience merchandise for the customers. However, it dosen’t relate to the reading campaign well.

3. Bookmark

Bookmark is the merchandise that relate to the campaign best. I am struggling with it because the shape is similiar as the bookband. Therefore, I think I can combine bookmark and bookband together.

In order to connect all the collaterals together, I use the same elements as the vehicle branding-books shelf. I put the designs both of the shelter’s sides to create a whole concepts for the space.

I took some pictures from the bus shelter near my house, it has enough space for me to design on it.

Since my initial idea of bus shelter dosen’t work, I redraw some drafts and refer to the NZ bus shelter to design the works.

I think it is a good idea to provide a space that people can interact with the designs, so all of the drafts are including an empty space for taking pictures.

Posters background colors

I tried to bring all the design together, I wanted to make the background color the same. So I make all of them into the light blue and put them together. However, I don’t think it is a good idea. Although they have the same background color, the color of figures are different that make the image looks plain together.

 I am still using the initial colors now, I think the different colors can show the variety of books which is suitable for my campaign.

I change the image of the male figure. It was hard to recognize the gender of the figure before, I wanted to show a student outfit with backbag and laptop, but it doesn’t work. I change it into a more athletic outlooking, hoodie and baseball cap which is an iconic outfit of boys. In terms of colors, I use blue, red and yellow, which are primary colors, that looks harmony together.

Insta pages process

My initial idea for instagram pages, I searched a mock up only include three whole boxes. I was focusing on the colors planning and the elements I used in my designs, I didn’t think about what content should I include in it.

After getting feedback and deeper research, I found I can add some useful content in the Instagram pages, to provide the audiences more information of books reading.

from this campaign, I realize that I can put some merchandise pictures on the account.

But I think it looks too mess if I put all the information on it.

Instagram Information

In terms of events, I am not going to set up a real event which include banner and other collaterals, because I found it will bring too much stress to me to design a couple of more collaterals, that I don’t have time to develop them. Therefore, I decided to put more information on the instagram’s pages, eg Books recommendation, merchandise. To create a insta account that can let people engage in reading instead of setting up an event.
