The trope of a character being totally incapacitated/overwhelmed by pain is living rent free in my mind rn.
Like all they can do is scream or cry, it hurts so bad they can’t even form words. They might be shaking or hyperventilating, breath hitching if another wave of pain hits them. They can’t stop the tears flowing down their face. Caretaker/team tries to soothe them but nothing works—they don’t even respond.
Or, maybe they do, but its a quiet, pleading “please, make it stop,” between cries. Maybe they beg. “Just shoot me.”
Caretaker/team probably wouldn’t know how to respond. “We’re trying,” they say. Or, “No. I won’t do that.”

excited to share the protagonist for the game i'm working on, vertical reality. the design went through a lot of iterations and i think i'm pretty happy with the final result. i'll be doing monthly devlogs on here where i'll be sharing more about the game, the first one should be posted later today.

my latest find - female red deer which was surprisingly complete with none of her teeth missing. knife marks on the back of the skull and the unusual location she was found in suggests a hunter dump.

Non-Human/Hybrid Whumpee who was raised in captivity.
New laws banning the ownership of hybrids bring government agents breaking down doors of the sales facility Whumpee is currently housed in.
Whumpee is placed in government assisted Housing For Displaced Hybrids (HFDH). Mandatory therapy. Mandatory employment training or assistance.
Whumpee just wants to go back. Misses being a prized pet. Whumpee misses not having to worry about human-made problems like taxes or bills.
Whumpee cries themselves to sleep.

So I wanna say this and it’ll probably be my only Mouthwashing post since the fandom is a fucking garbage fire….
If you have a problem with someone’s fanfic (yes, this is about Lobotomized Jimmy) then simply don’t read it and move on.
Bitching about fiction like it’s happening right now irl and other people’s harmless choices is about one of the dumbest things this fandom does regularly and it turns me off wanting to interact with it. Sorry, not sorry.
#mouthwashing#lobotomized jimmy#the mouthwashing fandom is a trainwreck and it isn’t the degens ruining it

More whump I guess since we're all damaged XP ✨unpopular non human edition✨
whumpee being zombified and cured over and over so they can never digest anything properly and always have hunger pains without actually starving.
Slime whumpee being melted down and/or frozen and forced into humiliating shapes.
Centaur/Satyr whumpee with badly damaged hooves to the point where standing for even a few seconds is agonizing enough to have them choking back sobs.
Any kind of animal hybrid whumpee being given aphrodisiacs while going through a heat/rut. (bonus points if whumper offers to "help" or if whumpee begs them to)
Sea creature whumpee having their neck bandaged so they cannot breathe properly with their gills

My favorite flavor of institutional pet whump is when. Hear me out. Humans domesticate and keep nonhumans as pets (I'm particularly partial to vampires being the pets).
People parading their pet nonhumans around on leashes, showing them off at parties, etc. It becomes a sort of a bragging right to have one, even more so if someone has more than one.
Humans justifying it because "they were evil, now we domesticated them." And maybe the nonhuman pets really were evil, or maybe not, but it doesn't change how they're being degraded.
Some pet owners treat their pets gently and pamper them. Others... do not.
Regardless of how they're treated, the institution/organization (the government? A private company? Something else?) that "domesticates" the pets probably doesn't treat them too well and the "taming" process is probably unpleasant.
