I want to think that Marceline once showed that tape of photos of her mother and her as a child to Hunson Abadeer, or that she asked him where he was when she needed him most? Where was he when she was just a child? Did he really love her mother? Was there even love in that relationship? Or did he simply want an heir for the nightosphere? I don't believe that Marceline didn't have those questions rolling around in her head. Maybe she did, but by waiting so long for the right moment to ask, she simply put them aside. Even if Hunson answered those questions, one of two, Marceline hesitates but accepts because in the end she got an answer for so long and she won't have to wait an eternity to know even something, or even having the questions answered, she won't believe in him, for being what he is, a narcissistic, egocentric, and "purely evil demon".

Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but you get the point. There's a lot more Marceline lore to get if you think about it.

Yes! I find it funny that people called him that way because maybe they thought that if they mentioned his real name a spell or bad luck would be cast on them. Or just because Hunson was very feared lol
