Kitty laughed freely at her words - it was boring, wasn't it? Sure, she always liked playing, no matter what, but she wouldn't be sad to see this particular gig end. Especially not if it ended in spending more time with Emma.
"I'm only paid through eleven." She answered softly, not wanting to air her and the Malfoys business to any eavesdroppers. "I'll be ready to hit the ground running at ten after." Kitty smirked, not needing to stay a second longer. A thought struck her at her words and she turned to appraise her date. "Did you want to dance? There's still another couple songs from the DJ before I have to go back."
Kitty smiled warmly at her. "I surely hope not." She hummed softly at the sentiment, being stuck with Emma didn't seem like a bad thing to her at all. Quite the opposite, actually.
As Emma scooted closer, Kitty wrapped an arm around her shoulders in a loose hug, her chin on her shoulder as she draped herself over Emma. "Mmm, my muse." She murmured in her ear, smiling. "I heard there's a big party at Daisy's - would you want to go when we're done here? Have me all to yourself. "

Kitty breathed a playful sigh of relief at her words, although she didn't fear Emma would find someone else tonight. She placed her hand on Emma's knee delicately as she knocked their legs together, giving her a gentle squeeze.
"Thank you." She leaned in and kissed her cheek. "Between you and me, I am tired of playing covers." She took Emma's glass, taking a sip with a small sigh. "I do like the harp, though." Kitty glanced back up at the instrument she had learned for the wedding. "How about you? Have you been having fun?"

Kitty's eyes flashed at his reaction, a coy smile on her features. "Is Daddy mad?" She asked suggestively, placing a hand delicately on his arm for just a second, fighting a laugh at his obvious annoyance. She liked Rabastan, which was unfortunate for him, as it made it that much more fun to tease him.
"Please," She lit up, a genuine smile taking over as she grabbed the neck of the bottle. Kitty raised it to her lips, a satisfied sigh escaping her after taking a sip. "Please tell me you've found a place away from all....." She waved her hand around them vaguely. "This." She scrunched her nose slightly, hoping she could benefit from Rabastan's habit of finding peace and quiet.
It was exhausting - playing songs that weren't hers and watching what she said and how she acted. It came with the territory, taking on a gig like this, and she wanted to respect the bride and groom, but she would be happy to go back to normal. She had taken a quick break, trying to make her way to the bar but having a hard time making it there.
She quite literally bumped into someone as she tried to dodge another wedding guest - reaching out to grab their elbow as if to steady them. "I'm so sorry -" she started, before realizing it was Rabastan. "We've got to stop meeting this way, Rabbit."

Kitty loved weddings - it was why she had agreed to begin with, and why she'd learned a new instrument just for Narcissa to walk down the aisle to. But it was a very different experience to play at one than to attend. Still, she was enjoying herself - although she had seen far less of her date than she would have liked.
However, she managed to take a break and let the DJ take over and made a bee line for her and Emma's table. She gave her a kiss on the cheek as she sat, perched on the chair next to her. "Please tell me you haven't ditched me for a better date."

The Weird Sisters didn't do many weddings - they had, before they were well known - but now they'd grown too big (not to sound egotistical), if they'd accepted every time someone wanted them at a reception, that's all they would do.
As she stepped off the stage and into the back room they were given for a little privacy, she was immediately accosted by a familiar voice and without thinking, she wrapped her in a fleeting hug before pulling away to assess what was wrong. She laughed lightly, tucking a stray hair of Greta's back into place. "I can't yet. And you can't either." Kitty said lightly, although the idea was definitely appealing. "Do you want to grab a drink with me? I've been making up scandalous stories about the guests."
Greta could hear Kitty over the microphone saying that the band was taking a ten minute break, and she quickly handed off her tray of hors d'oeuvres off to another member of staff. Claiming she needed to use the lavatory, she took off towards the back room and waited for The Weird Sisters to join. As Kitty walked into the room, Greta grabbed her wrists, pulling her in close to her. "Eonni, let's escape." She pleaded, having an awful time. "The bride is so mean and everyone is so boring and I don't like to hear you sing covers all night. I heard there's no security at the back gate, c'mon let's run away!" - @weirdxkitty

"Good" She replied emphatically, glad to hear it. "That's good." Kitty nodded, relaxing some of the unseen tension in her shoulders. They had been gone on and off so long during the war, and even after it had ended - part of it, she wouldn't admit, was to escape it all.
"Well, I will definitely drink to that." She laughed, nodding her thanks to Rosmerta as she slid another glass across the bar. She tilted her head in thought, taking a sip as she sifted through all the memories of the last few months.
She puffed her lips out in a slight sigh. "There's just so many to choose from." Kitty laughed, shaking her head slightly. "I met a real life vampire - at our Underground show in Australia. His name was Nicolai, if you believe it." Kitty placed her chin on her hand and leaned on the bar. "I was tempted to call him Nicky, but I quite like my throat intact."
The smile she gave Rosmerta was genuine - one of the first after a show in months. She loved what she did, but by the end of a long tour she just wanted to be home, with the people she loved. "Thanks, Ros." There were few people that could have gotten her to do a show so soon after returning, and Rosmerta was high on the list. "You give me too much credit - this place has so much life, it doesn't need me." She winked. "But I am glad it wants me."
Kitty laughed slightly, taking a sip of her drink and letting out a satisfied sigh. There was something about the Broomsticks that made everything taste better. "This," She held up her glass in a silent cheers before finishing the small sip that was left. "Feels like coming home." She scooched the glass across the bar, hoping she could manage one more refill before she had to get back to it. "How's it been? Everything getting back to normal?"

"That's what they say about me, grey cloud." She rolled her eyes good naturedly, having heard plenty of negative comments aimed at herself - but seeping up all the fun was a first. "I would be willing to bet you already met it." Kitty raised an eyebrow, fighting the smile that was tugging at the edges of her lips.
She sighed happily. "I just got back, that's why I'm so available to bother you." Kitty winked, propping her feet up on the empty chair beside her. "We're thinking of staying home for a while before going back out."
Kitty tended to wander - and that was how she had ended up spotting Sinistra at one of the cafes not far from her flat. She looked busy, caught up in what she was doing; but that had never stopped Kitty before.
As she stood before her, she couldn't help but grin at Sinistra's reaction, expecting something along those line. "I am your sunshine, sunshine." She laughed, before taking the seat next to her without invitation and leaning back, tilting her face to the sun. "You can take a break sometimes, you know."

📷 for what my muse would say to the paparazzi about yours.

Truthfully, Kitty hadn't - at least, not for longer than the short shows her sisters declined on when they were home. "Not really." She finally answered, tilting her head to the side as she considered it. "I don't think it would be the same without my sisters, although.... I guess it's a nice option if they ever want to retire one day." She smiled.
"Oh, no, I don't think so." Kitty was quick to reply, trying to ease the discomfort that had blossomed at the question. "No arses here, promise." She grinned widely, nodding once decisively as if that settled the matter. "I think we had history of magic together - although I think Professor Binns was more alive than I was in that class so, that might explain it."
"Yeah," Kitty answered easily, a smile making it's way to her face. She couldn't help it, there was something so satisfying every time she heard someone call her that instead of Suzy. "Thank you - it's still strange to do it myself, but... I kind of like it." She grinned.
She turned in her seat a little to face the girl. She looked familiar - she cast her mind back to her school days, certain they had passed in the halls, at the very least. Kitty just hoped her memory was as good as she always bragged it to be. "....Mary? I think we went to school together."

"Theo, Theo, Theo...." She chided playfully, shaking her head and clicking her tongue against her teeth as she feigned disappointment. Kitty couldn't keep it up for long though and she broke into giggles after a few seconds. "What am I going to do with you? You're supposed to be my eyes and ears when I'm gone - we both know Greta is elbow deep in cheese, so she won't have any." She sighed wistfully, watching as a bubble drifted lazily up out of her ice cream.
"Did you hear about the guy that rushed the stage? Unregistered animagus - a fly, of all things, poor bloke. Flew up and then changed back."
Ice cream was one of Kitty's biggest guilty pleasures - except it wasn't even guilty, really, just all pleasure. She had stood at the counter for a while, tapping a finger against her chin as she tried to decide, finally going with the Drooble's inspired Bursting Bubblegum (it helped that it was the most lovely shade of pink).
Now, sitting under the warmth of the sun, she was more thankful than ever for magic as it warmed her skin but didn't melt her ice cream. She sat up straight as she heard Theo, a broad smile on her face matching her friend's as she caught up to her. "Good morning, Sunshine." It had been too long since she'd been home - she hadn't realized just how much she had missed all her friends. "Please tell me you've got some good gossip for me while I was gone."
