how the hell does blood work. how are we just full of it. but it can pool? but it keeps moving. why does it taste metallic?? I don’t want it anymore. I am going to upload my brain onto someone’s computer and wander around like those little screen pets
#the reason it doesnt normally pool is because your body propels de-oxygenated blood back up to the heart#so if you have a weak cardiovascular system or low blood pressure your blood can pool#cuz blood pressure is basically a measurement of how your body is pumping blood#low = weaker flow and looser veins and high bp = overly constricted veins and less blood moving thru due to constriction#And the reason blood tastes metallic is because red blood cells use an iron molecule in order to stay bound together#otherwise the rbc would just be loose hemoglobin and wouldn't be able to function as a rbc#and another thing that wasnt mentioned but#the reason why some blood seems brighter than other blood#oxygenated blood is a brighter red#so when the oxygenated blood travels all the way down to the capillaries it is by then de-oxygenated#and travels back up to the heart to oxygenate and goes back thru the body for rbc's to deliver the oxygen
