What should I do to deal with high CPU usage error in Windows 10?
I must admit that uses Windows operating system is exquisite and efficient in most of the aspects. I have been using Windows for years, since the Windows XP.
After years, the power of computers are growth and so do Windows. With the latest version, Microsoft brought us a lot of excellent features. At this moment, we have everything we often need from a Windows PC.
No feature was missed. Right?
Although Microsoft gave us everything that they could, however, there is still a big question ahead. Is Windows 10 safe? Is it perfect and come without any errors?
I would say that the answer is a big NO! 100% that there's nothing could be perfect, and so do Windows. Therefore, you can't expect that Windows 10 will be a perfection that you can use without worrying about issues.
Last week, I read on the answers.microsoft.com forum that a few users complained that after taking the latest updates, their computers suddenly increase CPU usage. It comes from a system process, called svchost.exe (netsvcs).
Did you know what is this process and why it used a lot of CPU resource like that?
Well! To know why it uses your CPU resource, you need to know what is it first. Basically, the svchost.exe is a system process, which often use to handle public functions in Windows. The reason is that Windows and all other programs can't work correctly without this process.
Therefore, it's a very important process that can't be disabled or terminated. Otherwise, a part, parts or all of Windows will be shut down permanently.
However, there is a simple solution you can use to resolve this high usage error. That is temporary disable it and then start it again, called restart process.
To get started, bring up Task Manager, and find out which service that is using the svchost.exe process and then choose to Restart it.
That's it!
It's a simple solution but always helps users to resolve this type of issues. It often works in all versions of Windows operating system, including Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and then now, the Windows 10.
